Happy World Sound Day! Sound healing is our true valentine, sending loving vibrations to every part of us. 🤍

Sound isn’t just something we hear, it’s a powerful force that influences our mind, body, and energy.

Different frequencies impact our brainwaves, shaping our mood, creativity, and overall wellbeing.

From the calming rustle of leaves to the rhythmic waves of the ocean, nature’s frequencies help us relax, reduce stress, and boost productivity. Sounds from instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and tuning forks can shift us into specific brainwave states, alpha for relaxation, theta for deep meditation, and delta for deep rest and healing.

Our own voice is one of the most powerful tools for sound healing. Humming, toning, chanting, and singing activate the vagus nerve, calming the nervous system and promoting inner harmony. Simply singing your favourite song or making sound with intention can uplift your mood and shift your energy.

Our voices matter.

We need to nurture them from the inside out, not the outside in.

Listening to the inner voice is the first step in finding authenticity. Truth comes through deep listening, felt fully in the body, not just through thought. It is quiet, subtle, and often overshadowed by what the world tells us we “should” say or be. Cultivating your voice means giving it space to grow, to vibrate, and to be heard, starting within yourself.

When we connect with our inner voice, we learn:
- what feels true to us
- where our power lies
- how our sacred and vulnerable parts can be honoured

A short practice to nurture your inner voice -
-Take three deep, conscious breaths, noticing your body expand and release fully.
-Set the intention of listening to your inner voice as you hum.
-Do a slow whole body scan from bottom to top while humming gently, feeling the vibration in your feet, legs, torso, arms, chest, throat, and face. Approach each part of your body with kindness, noticing without judgement, letting the intention guide the sound.
-Sit in silence for one minute, listening inwardly, letting your voice resonate throughout your body.

Reflections to sit with
- What does my inner voice want me to hear today?
- How does it feel in my body?
- How can I honour it without judgment?
- In what ways am I allowing it to stay sacred and flower?

All of these practices, including breath, intentional humming with body scan, deep listening, and feeling with kindness, are ways to connect with truth in a fully embodied way.

This is the foundation of authentic expression. Before we share our voice outwardly, it is great to nurture it inwardly. Jasmin x

Upcoming sound meditations this month ✨

Before you begin a sound meditation, take a moment to set an intention. An intention gives sound a direction, helping your breath, your body, and the vibrations meet in harmony. You might be calling something in, or gently letting something go.

As you listen, try this.
Take a deep breath in.
Slowly sigh it out.
Set your intention.
Take a final breath and let it go with a long, soft sigh, ah.

As we draw towards the end of the year, nature invites us to listen.

The earth holds us.
The tides continue their ancient song.

Be here.
Take a deep breath in.

Allow the breath to move through you,to reach the tired parts,
the places that have given so much. The grateful parts. The joyful parts.

Listen to the sound of the sea and wind.
Let its rhythm meet yours.
With intention, allow it to release
what no longer serves you.
Let it be carried away,
wave by wave.

Each day holds darkness and light.

Both are part of the same cycle.
Both have something to offer.

Through breath and sound,
we find balance again.
Not by force,
but by presence.

Cleansed.
Softened.
Grounded.

Renewal is already forming
