The 'MedTech' industry is huge, ranging from VR/AR to wearables to digital health solutions to name just a few. Though a fairly young industry, it is currently one of the fastest growing industries in the world (estimated at $40+ billion as of last year), with big-hitters such as Google and Samsung rapidly investing in the sector. With the emergence of new technologies such as AI and data science, the potential of medical technology grows at an exponential rate and will revolutionise healthcare over the coming decades. MedTech QMBL is the central student hub for MedTech (the application of technology within healthcare) at QMUL and Barts and the London. We provide a platform where like minded people can meet, collaborate and learn more about medical entrepreneurship and innovation. Through our extended network with other university societies and companies, we provide an even richer experience for our members. Activities include conferences, evening events with distinguished speakers, workshops, socials and MedTech opportunities. Whatever your academic background, you are welcome to join our society! BL MedTech are excited to announce a talk with the esteemed professional Imran Mahmud: "Introduction in Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital (VC) and Alternative Careers"

Imran is primarily a physician 🥼 with an entrepreneurial spirit. He cofounded a telemedicine company, Nye Health 📱, consultants and advises multiple health technology companies 🤵 and invests in early-stage startups 📈. Alongside this, he shares his advice on Youtube as a content creator 🎥

Whether you're interested in building a start up, leading in the health technology sector, picking up investment strategies or simply curious about potential prospects as a medical graduate, Imran offers much valued advice.

BL MedTech are proud to announce our next talk ‘Tips and Tricks to Networking in the medical field’ presented by Dr Mustafa Sultan today at 6:30pm over Zoom.

Dr Sultan is an F1 doctor and also the creator and host of the Big Picture Medicine Podcast. He is involved in the field of AI and technology in Medicine, having participated in numerous past and ongoing tech based projects.

BL MedTech is excited to announce our next event, a *fast track Python coding session* 💻💻💻

A collaboration with QM Tech Soc 🛠 and hosted by Rainey- a QMUL alumni with 20+ years experience in tech; including being former PM managing €20M a year tech projects.

The event will be running at 6pm GMT and is free for all sub paying members, and £6 for anyone else.
