Archetypes. What are they? A breakdown of Jung's thinking for the layman.

Alastair Mordey

Alastair is a pioneer of addiction treatment centres in Thailand and a well known speaker and writer on addiction issues.

Alastair started out working in street outreach with dependent drinkers and injecting drug users. From 2005-2010 Alastair led outreach across the borough of Haringey, North London, working in both abstinence and harm reduction settings.

In 2010 Alastair co-founded The Cabin Chiang Mai, a 120 bed treatment facility in the mountainous North of Thailand. By 2016 The Cabin had become the largest treatment group outside the US. Alastair was the clinical architect and author of The Cabin's treatment system, which combined CBT, 12 Steps, Mindfulness, and hard physical training. In 2014, as part of The Cabin group, Alastair pioneered The Edge programme which specifically used Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing) and Triathlon training regimens to heal young men of their addictions.

In 2019, Alastair left The Cabin Group. He is now the co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer for Elevate Health, a company which merges m-health applications to reward people for measurable improvements in their behavioural health.
