Scoliosis
After two years of treatment, we have achieved a fairly favorable outcome. While I believe the results could have been even better, I am personally satisfied with the progress, especially considering that we started with a Cobb angle of 46°, which is a significant deviation.

Throughout the entire treatment period, the patient adhered strictly to the proposed protocol, which included: wearing the brace both during the day and at night for 23 hours a day, swimming, a structured home exercise program, and physiotherapeutic treatment consisting of manual therapy, spinal mobilization, passive stretching, and more.

At present, we continue with maintenance therapy, consisting of 1 to 2sessions per month.

Clinical Experience

I have treated over 25,000 patients with a wide range of conditions, including:
• Disc herniations
• Frozen shoulder
• Muscle injuries
• Post-surgical rehabilitation
• Hip & knee replacements
• Fractures (ankle, wrist, humerus)
• Scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis
• Spinal stenosis
• Scheuermann’s disease
…and more.

Between 2010 and 2015, I worked in neuro-pediatrics, treating children with neurological, developmental, and musculoskeletal conditions.
I am now specialize in musculoskeletal disorders, with a strong focus on spine and joint rehabilitation. I also integrate advanced technology such as the Manuthera 242 for precise spinal mobilization and decompression.

Rehabilitation is a team effort.
My goal is to educate patients on how to protect themselves, move better, and maintain long-term wellbeing.
I am currently self-employed, running my own physiotherapy studio in London, where I provide evidence-based, patient-centered treatment tailored to each individual.

Stretching and spine mobilization

This is a short presentation video demonstrating a passive movement, specifically a vertebral mobilization technique.

What I am performing here is purely demonstrative and does not serve as a treatment cure for any specific condition, also this treatment is pain free 100%🙌🏻

A proper treatment plan is personalized and comprehensive, incorporating vertebral mobilization, manual therapy, physical therapy, and a tailored home exercise program designed to meet individual needs.

For an accurate assessment and a customized treatment plan, professional consultation is recommended.

Before and after disc herniation L4-L5, L5-S1

Over the past year, I have followed an intensive and highly structured rehabilitation protocol targeting segmental control, disc loading optimisation and progressive mechanical desensitisation.

The first MRI was performed in October 2024, and the second one in November 2025, illustrating the structural evolution over this period.

For the first six months, I maintained a frequency of two sessions per week, combining:
• manual therapy,
• vertebral mobilisation,
• soft-tissue techniques and massage,
• electrotherapy,
• laser therapy,
• and a progressive, personalised exercise programme focused on motor control, load tolerance and directional preference.

The MRI sequences highlight significant improvements, including:
• reduction of neural compression,
• restoration of the epidural space,
• improved hydration signal,
• and better organisation of surrounding soft tissues.

These changes were achieved through precise load management, graded exposure, and continuous monitoring of mechanical responses throughout the year.

A special acknowledgement to my colleagues Răzvan and Dragoș for their consistent support, expertise and involvement. Their contribution was essential in achieving such a favourable outcome.

Scoliosis Exercises • Thoracic Mobility • Breathing Exercises • Postural Control

This sequence focuses on correcting scoliosis-specific asymmetries through:

🔹 Lateral fascial lengthening – opening positions to reduce tension on the concave side and improve intercostal space.

🔹 Assisted thoracic extension – controlled mobilization to decrease rib stiffness and improve thoracic alignment.

🔹 Directed breathing exercise – inhaling into the hypomobile side with gentle activation on exhalation for stabilization.

🔹 Scapular control with stick/band – improving shoulder-girdle alignment and reducing compensatory patterns.

🔹 Functional integration – transferring the corrected alignment into active movements.

All exercises are adapted to the curve type, flexibility, and breathing pattern of each patient.

Scoliosis
Before and after surgery

I am pleased to share the successful outcome of my patient’s spinal surgery.
The case involved a severe scoliosis exceeding 65°, for which surgical correction was medically indicated.
Over the past year, our therapeutic program focused on reducing pain and stiffness while preparing the patient both physically and functionally for the intervention.
The next phase will concentrate on postoperative rehabilitation, functional recovery, and long-term maintenance of spinal alignment and mobility.

The exercise demonstrated is part of an advanced postural re-education program focused on optimizing spinal alignment, rebalancing muscular chains, and improving respiratory function in patients with scoliotic deviations.

Using a controlled stretching assisted by an elastic band, the goal is to induce a physiological tension that promotes lengthening of shortened muscular chains and activation of underused stabilizing muscles, restoring functional symmetry.

An essential component of this protocol is guided respiratory training, emphasizing controlled costal expansion and thoracic mobility — crucial elements in the management of scoliosis, where the three-dimensional deformity of the trunk affects breathing mechanics.

In addition, attention is directed toward improving flexibility of the posterior chain, particularly the hamstrings, to facilitate proper posture and balanced load distribution along the spine.

📚 Therapeutic objectives:

reduction of tonic and muscular asymmetries,

improvement of segmental and thoracic mobility,

enhancement of motor control and postural awareness,

optimization of functional breathing.

Each program is individualized, based on the curvature type, structural rigidity, and the patient’s specific biomechanical and respiratory characteristics. The approach integrates active correction, manual therapy, and targeted respiratory re-education.

Fiziokinetoterapie

BENEFICIILE FIZIOKINETOTERAPIEI

  • profilactic - totalitatea metodelor și mijloacelor fiziokinetologice utilizate pentru a preveni afecțiunea prin menținerea și întărirea stării de sănătate;

  • terapeutic - este întâlnită în kinetoterapia profilactică și cea de recuperare;
