For years i had to travel for work, in and out of meetings, staying in hotels that claimed there was a “modern gym” or “high tech fitness suite”... This was often not the case. I would arrive, motivated, determined and ready to get in about a solid session when the door would swing open and id be faced with the following;
A cable machine with 1 interchangeable handle, if i was lucky.
Frustrated? Yes. Annoyed at the poor hotel facilities? Yes. Losing motivation? YES! So, i would moan and be agitated for a few mins before going online to find a workout that i could do; Chest? Nope. Legs? Nope. Back? Nope! Nothing matched in with the equipment available. By this point, my workout time had gone from 45-50 mins, to 25-30 mins. So, i decided that the lack of equipment and the little amount of time i had would be the obstacles that i let stand in my way of keeping fit and seeing results. I would go to the gym, sit on the bike or take my stance on the cross-trainer and engage in some steady state cardio... Boring, so so boring.
It wasn't long before my “cardio” sessions would be less about moving and burning calories, and more about listening to podcasts, browsing social media and an excuse not to be sitting in my hotel room. This was pushing me further and further into a state of unmotivated laziness. Somewhere that no one wants to be! My attitude was all wrong. My lack of initiative, my lack of desire and the fact that i was allowing my workout to be dictated by the equipment in front of me and my time frame, rather than my ability to think on my feet, was the only problem. And at this moment... the idea for ‘Find Me A Workout’ was born.
The purpose of Find Me A Workout is to provide short, sharp and intense workouts to the users based on the restraints that they are facing; whether its time, equipment, innovation or a combination of them all. We have a wide range of options with over 350 workouts available to choose from.
