Global Lingo provides comprehensive language solutions to both private and public markets, including translation, interpretation, transcription and summary-writing services. We provide transcription and translation services to companies throughout the UK, but particularly in London and the south-east of England. Our transcription services include live-event transcribing, professional minute taking, audio transcription, conference transcription services and meeting minutes. We also undertake specialised transcriptions for companies in the financial, legal, medical sectors, as well as others. WE offer complete and reliable translation services in more than 140 languages, including Braille translations, based on our network of more than 6,000 linguists. The European languages that are most frequently translated include Spanish (both English to Spanish translation and Spanish to English translation) German (notably English to German translation) and French (especially French to English translation). The most popular world languages we work on include Chinese (specifically English to Chinese translation) and Arabic (especially English to Arabic translation). But we are also able to translate any language into any other thanks to our global network of freelance translators. Our translators are complemented by a comprehensive interpreting service, including consecutive interpreting, BSL interpreting, and court interpreting (particularly to courts in London). Consecutive interpreting services are of particular interest to the public sector and government organisations. We also specialise in bringing state-of-the-art audio-visual technology to government departments, courtrooms, public inquests, coroners’ offices, and press and corporate conferencing. Our audio-visual services can supply all the equipment for a multi-lingual event or conference, including infrared language distribution, interpreters' booths, wired language distribution, conference microphone systems, and wireless conference microphone systems.

Meet Gareth Fernandes, one of our Business Development Directors based out of London. Gareth has been with Global Lingo since September ‘24 but has been in the language service industry since 2017. He is obsessed with adding value to our clients and making sure that we are good fit for their needs!

𝘈 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 Gareth:
▪️ Originally from North London, Gareth is an avid Arsenal fan. His dream Arsenal 5 aside team would be Seaman, Adams, Vieira, Cazorla and Henry. ⚽
▪️ During his university days and having swam to a high county level, Gareth qualified as a Level 2 Swimming teacher to make ends meet. He taught and coached over his 3-year post-grad but would never want to get back into this as it was never his passion. 🏊‍♀️
▪️ An avid quizzer, Gareth was a contestant on the game show ‘Pointless’. The episodes aired back in 2013/2014 (Good luck finding them), but unfortunately didn’t win any prizes. 🏆
▪️ A keen traveler, Gareth has been to over 35 countries and expects to add to this number in 2025. Favorite places are Sa Pa (Vietnam), Tirana (Albania), Lisbon (Portugal) and Zanzibar (Tanzania). ✈️

Gareth comes from a multicultural background. His father of Indian (Goa)/Portuguese descent, was born in Kenya, raised in Uganda, and came to London in the '70s. His mother has English/Celtic roots and beat his dad to naming him. This rich upbringing has shaped his values, experiences, and skills, inspiring his passion for localization.
