Kings Court-January was a particularly busy and enjoyable month for the residents and staff of Kingscourt, filled with a variety of positive events and celebrations. The month began with a staff wellbeing event, giving team members the opportunity to relax, connect, and enjoy time together. Service users WS and JS also enjoyed a fun night out at the theatre to see Michael Jackson: The Musical, creating a memorable and exciting experience.
In addition, staff attended the annual Gala and Awards event, where achievements were celebrated and Kingscourt was proudly recognised. The month concluded on a happy note with RE celebrating his birthday at a local seafood restaurant, enjoying a colourful and fun-filled outing with plenty of food. January was a lively and rewarding month that highlighted wellbeing, achievement, and meaningful social experiences for everyone at Kingscourt.

Conifers-January was a busy month for birthdays at the unit as two clients celebrated theirs.
PK on the 10th and GH on the 29th.
Both chose their own cakes, what they wanted to eat and how they wanted to celebrate.
Weekly lunches out continue for all to spend some quality time together outside of the unit.
At the end of last month, Conifers attended the company annual gala. Everyone looked so smart and all really shone.
Conifers came 1st place in the Compliance league and were awarded a money prize, chocolates and a plaque. We also received a special award plaque for coming in 1st place for the third-year running.
A huge team effort by everyone enabled these achievements to happen and we are very proud of our accomplishment.

Canterbury House clients, MB and WH, attended, and were escorted to, Fairfield Halls to see the Pantomime, Beauty and The Beast.
Both really loved it and giggled a lot during the performance. They have both asked to go back again this year.
At the end of last month, the unit attended the company Annual Gala. All dressed to impress and the unit came 4th place in the Compliance League table and won prize money, Chocolates and a plaque. We are all so very proud of our accomplishment and hope to get even higher up next year.

Blake House -The end of 2025 wrapped up with a cherry on top. Nathan celebrated another trip around the sun, and we marked the occasion together. We also got busy with the card competition, where everyone proudly showcased their creativity.
As 2026 began, clients were busy taking down their Christmas trees and cleaning their homes to start the new year fresh. Dimitri not only helped with the cleaning but also made time to visit his favourite Greek restaurant with his father, enjoying some meaningful quality time together.

We’ve had a lovely start to the New Year at Retreat Lodge, filled with positive moments, creativity, and togetherness. Here are some of our recent highlights:

* 🎉 New Year Celebrations & Goals – Service users welcomed the New Year by sharing hopes and setting personal goals for the year ahead.

* ☕ Café Activities – Maureen, Melvin, and David enjoyed café outings, meeting new people and selecting their own menu choices, supporting independence and social interaction.

* 🚗 Car Ride Activities – Enjoying scenic views, fresh air, great conversations, and a cosy stop for McDonald’s hot chocolate.

* 🎄 Christmas Card Competition – David proudly received recognition from our Service Manager, Summer, from Head Office. A great honour for everyone at Retreat Lodge.

* 🎨 SUAG Activities – Fun, engaging sessions enjoyed by all, encouraging participation and wellbeing.

* 🎬 Movie Day & Talent Time – Service users showcased their talents, relaxed together, and enjoyed delicious food.

* 🌸 Flower Arrangement Activity – Everyone took part in creating beautiful floral displays for the main outside reception areas, adding colour and creativity to our home.

Oakfield-It was incredible close of the year 2025. Oakfield service was being busy fun filled with lots of activities for just ended year. We were blessed to celebrate the Birthdays of two of our Service Users for the month of December. We enjoyed our party and of course there was cake for everyone
Oakfield Service had a Christmassy party in December as other services joined in. We were privileged to Rah Rah singers sing some melodies for the festive period. It was a good year in 2025.

Haven flats -The SUAG theme for this month was discussed with the service users, who responded with enthusiasm and interest. As part of the agreed activity, a trip to the cinema was planned, with the movie selection made by the service users themselves, especially DC has chosen the movie. Service users attended the outing, appeared to enjoy the experience, and engaged positively throughout. The activity provided an opportunity for social interaction & leisure, and everyone reported having a good time.
