I’m Fabiana Matos, Registered Nutritional Therapist & Menopause Specialist — here to help you feel energised, balanced, and thriving in midlife. 💛 From mood swings, weight gain, brain fog, which I considered ‘normal’ side effects of a demanding job, I suddenly found myself depressed and dealing with serious mental and hormonal issues. My intense research led me to the world of Functional Medicine, a holistic approach firmly grounded in scientific evidence, and my life took a very different turn. From an interest in understanding what was going on with me, I became fascinated with the science of nutrition and its complex role in our bodies and minds, and decided to change my career to become a Nutritional Therapist with the hope that I could help others to overcome this tough transition.

Tiny habits can make a big difference — especially in midlife.

And one of the most effective is surprisingly simple: wait a little before your first coffee.

Here’s what happens…

When you wake up, your cortisol is naturally high.
If you add caffeine straight away, your body gets a double hit — which can show up as:
• morning jitters
• irritability
• mid-afternoon energy dips
• that “wired but tired” feeling

By waiting 60–90 minutes, you’re giving your hormones space to settle before adding stimulation.
Most women notice:

✨ calmer, steadier mornings
✨ better focus
✨ fewer crashes
✨ more balanced energy throughout the day

What to do in that first hour:
✓ a big glass of water
✓ step outside for natural light
✓ gentle movement or stretching
✓ slow breathing
✓ then your coffee — without guilt and with much better energy

FABNutrition grew out of years of listening to women tell me the same thing over and over: “I’m doing everything I can — but nothing is working anymore.”

I wanted a brand that reflects what truly matters: personalised support, evidence-based nutrition, and helping midlife women thrive — not just cope.

Nutritional Healing Kitchen was my beginning. FABNutrition is the next step — clearer, stronger, and fully aligned with the women I’m here to help.
