My December Curriculum: The Nourished Mind Edition
I’ve started building a monthly curriculum for myself, a personal syllabus for life and honestly, it keeps becoming one of the most grounding, wholesome things I’ve done for my growth.
For December, I’m leaning deeply into the things that feed my mind, my body, and my becoming:
1. Reading (for the pleasure of reading)
I’m currently reading This Is Why You Dream by Dr. Rahul Jandial, absolutely fascinating.
This month, I’m also taking inspiration from Yomi Adegoke’s The list and letting myself read simply because reading feels good. No pressure. No assignment. Just pleasure, curiosity, and expansion.
It also ties beautifully into my passion project, because expanding the mind is a daily act of self-liberation.
2. Walking (my moving meditation)
Daily walking has become one of my favourite rituals.
Some days it’s my local neighbourhoods, other days it’s wherever my feet want to go.
Fresh air, clear thoughts, a reset for my nervous system. It’s simple, but it’s a life-giving practice.
3. Home-Made Cooking (the 40s era of nourishing myself well)
This season of my life is about eating what makes me feel good, wholesome, nutrient-rich meals that support women in their 40s.
And listen… it’s a joy.
Lately, I’ve been making healthy soups, especially with the fresh vegetables my sons bring me from the allotments.
Everything I’m doing right now (reading, walking, nourishing myself) it all loops back into expansion:
unlearning, softening, expanding, choosing joy, and taking small daily steps toward a life that feels aligned.
This is my curriculum for the month, nourishing, grounding, and deeply intentional.
If you’ve created your own curriculum for December, I’d love to hear what’s on yours too.
And if not, I highly, highly recommend making one.
Your life deserves thoughtful study, too.
