It’s the month of love… 🤍

Everyone talks about love languages this time of year —
but when was the last time you thought about your feet?

We spend so much time showing love to others,
yet our feet carry us through long days, busy schedules, workouts, stress and everything in between.

What if we applied love languages to our foot care too?

Because foot health isn’t just clinical — it’s wellness.
It’s prevention.
It’s nervous system care.
It’s daily maintenance that supports your whole body.

Your feet deserve love too — not just when something goes wrong.

So… which one are you neglecting? 👣

There’s space for all of us.

Podiatrists and nail techs don’t need to compete — we need to collaborate 👣🤍

If you’re a podiatrist, here are 3 things I truly believe matter when working alongside nail techs:

1️⃣ Respect their skill set — nail techs are incredible at maintenance, aesthetics, and building strong client relationships.

2️⃣ Refer when medical care isn’t needed — not every client needs ongoing podiatry. If their feet are healthy, let them enjoy their nail appointments.

3️⃣ Educate, don’t criticise — collaboration works when we support each other, not talk down.

At the end of the day, it’s not podiatrists versus nail techs — it’s podiatrists and nail techs.

Because when we work together, clients get:
✨ Safer care
✨ Better results
✨ Healthier feet

💬 I’d love to open this conversation.
If you’re a podiatrist, what’s your experience working with nail techs?
If you’re a nail tech, what would make collaboration feel easier?

Let’s raise the standard together 👣💙

👣✨ Let’s talk nail techs & podiatrists ✨👣

There’s a rumour that podiatrists don’t like nail techs…
And honestly? It’s just not true 🤍

I work with nail techs all the time — and I love it.
So many of you reach out for advice, and that’s exactly how it should be.

Podiatrists and nail techs can absolutely work together 👏🏽
It’s not about competition — it’s about knowing when to refer and keeping clients safe.

In this video I’m sharing 3 key tips for nail techs who want to work alongside a podiatrist 👣
Because referring isn’t a failure — it’s professionalism.

✨ Safer clients
✨ Better outcomes
✨ More trust

💬 I’d love to open up the conversation
If you’re a nail tech, drop a 💅🏽 in the comments
If you’re a podiatrist, drop a 👣

Or DM me if you want to build a local referral relationship 🤍

Let’s work together — not against each other.

What’s your foot love language 👣

Just like people, our feet need care in different ways.

Mine is physical touch 🤍
This looks like:
• A nourishing foot balm
• Cozy socks
• Slowing down and actually giving my feet some attention

Foot care doesn’t always have to be clinical — sometimes it’s about comfort, consistency and a little daily care.

Let’s talk foot dermal fillers 🪄🦶

You may have seen my recent post where I was injecting into the feet — and yes, it was done very intentionally.

Dermal fillers are an innovative podiatry treatment designed to add extra cushioning under tender areas of the foot, especially where the natural fat pad has reduced over time.

✨ We use hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body
✨ Helps cushion painful pressure points like corns
✨ Can improve comfort, mobility & support
✨ Ideal for those where traditional care hasn’t been enough

This isn’t about trends — it’s about evolving foot care and offering solutions that actually support your lifestyle.

If this sounds like something you’d like to explore, let’s talk 👇🏿

1. Context
Working with dancers is a reminder of how much we ask of our feet — strength, endurance, precision, and resilience, often without much pause. 👣

2.Access & Awareness
One of the biggest takeaways was that many dancers had never seen a podiatrist, even while managing pain or recurring issues.
Foot discomfort is often normalised in high-pressure environments. ⚠️

3.Individualised Care
Even in a group setting, care needs to be individual.
No two feet are the same — different bodies, loads, footwear, training schedules, and histories all matter when it comes to prevention and recovery. 🧠

4.Holistic Health
Foot health isn’t just physical.
Mindset, lifestyle, stress, and the demands placed on the body all influence how feet cope, adapt, and heal.
Treating symptoms alone is rarely enough. 🌿

5. Purpose
This is why education and preventative care sit at the heart of my work.
Helping people understand their feet empowers them to care for their bodies more confidently — on and off the studio floor. ✨

Creating space for education, conversation, and prevention is a part of my work I care deeply about.
Something I love and will continue sharing through my workshops and talks. 🤍

Medical Pedicure vs Salon Pedicure 👣
Let’s clear up the confusion.

A medical pedicure (Medi Pedi) is a clinical foot care treatment, not a beauty service.

🩺 Medical Pedicure:

✔️ Performed by a podiatrist, FHP, or trained medical nail technician
✔️ Uses sterilised, medical-grade instruments
✔️ Often waterless — water softens skin and increases infection risk
✔️ Treats fungal nails, ingrown nails, corns & calluses
✔️ Includes assessment & long-term foot health advice
✔️ Polish usually avoided to monitor nail health

💅 Salon Pedicure:

• Beauty-focused
• Soaking before treatment
• Cosmetic nail care & polish
• Limited ability to treat medical issues
• Tools may not be medically sterilised between clients

💡 Many people are surprised to learn that soaking feet before treatment can actually make skin more vulnerable to infection.

✨ When done properly, there should be no need to book a salon pedicure after a medical pedicure.

A Medical Pedicure is ideal if:

• Your feet still feel hard after regular pedicures
• You have ongoing nail or skin issues
• You have diabetes, sensitive skin, or poor circulation
• You value hygiene, prevention & long-term foot health
