I’m an individual teacher in my own midlife years helping other women navigate through their menopause in balance with their bodies, to embrace the changes and restore self-esteem for a happier and healthier you. I know that stepping into a fitness studio filled with mirrors and strangers can be a terrifying thought, and I make every effort to ensure that my classes are as friendly, down to earth and accessible to everyone as possible. We’re much more than a Pilates class, we’re a group of like-minded women who support each other to be the best that we can be, with all the joy, emotion and compassion that a powerful group of women can create together! ☀️ With the summer holidays upon us, we’ve decided to offer you a special summer pass and keep most group classes going throughout August & September.

SPECIAL SUMMER PILATES PASS

During August and September 2022 you can attend as many of our online classes on the timetable as you like for £66. Once you paid for the pass you can log on to any of the classes whether it’s once or three times a week.

We don’t need to be in London in order to teach or attend classes. In fact, you’ll notice that my background will keep changing during this period as Frank & I are travelling through France for a month.

And of course, you too can attend from your holiday destination! 😎

It started with my ankle injury during the Christmas holidays in Switzerland.

It was really painful and for many weeks it impacted my walking.

Not being able to walk properly can be really frustrating - we don’t really think about it until it’s become a challenge.

So, I thought why not share my ‘journey to recovery’ with the members of my FB group BODY, MIND & MOVEMENT.

I’ll show you some simple and easy exercises that benefit your walking, help avoid injures and prevent you from falling.

It’s time to get moving again!

I hope you’ve indulged in good food, had plenty of rest on the sofa and you’re feeling relaxed and ready for the year ahead.

As much as we liked the lazy days during the Christmas break it’s now time to give in to your body’s cravings for movement and to get back to Pilates.

For the first time in a long time, I feel that we’ve got a bit closer to normality again. It’s great to be back in the church hall for the Tuesday morning class and going for a coffee and a chat afterwards just feels wonderful.

It’s been a tough 18 months and many of us are experiencing extremely high levels of stress and anxiety at the moment.
Most of you already know that Pilates is a great way to unwind and de-stress.

With people in mind who always wanted to try Pilates but never made it to a class, I have created a FREE 5 Day taster programme to learn the Pilates Basics.

The 5-day course starts on Monday 27 September - we’ll meet online every day at 6pm UK time until Friday, 1st October. Each session is about 10 to 15 minutes long and as I said, it’s completely FREE.

This basic Pilates course offers an easy and gentle way into Pilates. It’s aimed at absolute beginners who want to give Pilates a try and slowly want to build up their practice. Perfect for women in midlife who are looking for a new form of exercise and who want to look after their body & mind.

Healthy feet are so important for a healthy posture. The feet are the foundation of our body. Foot problems can be responsible for pelvic floor issues, knee pain, hip pain and lower back injuries.

Wearing flip-flops every day, all day can really mess up your entire body. Especially if you already suffer from foot problems like hammertoes, flat feet, bunions, plantar fasciitis. It may be time to rethink your summer footwear and limit the time you’re wearing flip-flops.

I know, they’re so easy to wear, super practical, cheap, they come in fun colours and patterns, sometimes even with some cute flowers on top. Hard to resist. I’m sure most of us have more than one pair at home.

Flip-flops are minimal and only consist of the sole plus two straps and offer zero support for your feet. In fact, your feet have to work hard to keep them on and not lose them.

My advice is to carefully choose the right footwear for the right activity. Walking around the pool or along the beach in flip-flops makes sense, walking home in them after a pedicure to avoid damaging the freshly painted toenails is also a good idea. But, you’re not doing your feet any favours by wearing flip-flops for an extended walk around town or doing a day trip in them. A better option is sandals with a strap around the back or walking shoes for these activities and helps with your posture.

My “5x20” challenge starts on Monday 26 April and runs for 5 days.

Join me for a “5x20 session” every evening at 6 pm from Monday, 26 April to Friday, 30 April. All you need is a mat and comfy clothes.
