If you’ve ever lost weight, only to find yourself slowly climbing back again, I need you need to hear this:
You are not broken. And this is not about willpower.
Your body remembers the stress. The restrictions. The rules. So when you try to “”tighten up”” again, it fights back. Cravings peak, you feel edgy, and even a regular meal can feel like a ‘slip’.
That’s not failure. That’s your brain doing what it’s wired to do, which is to protect you when it senses threat.
So if traditional diets keep pushing your body into panic mode, what’s the alternative?
To go gently.
To teach the body that food is safe, again.
So start with this: after any meal that triggers guilt, take 2 quiet minutes just for you. Ask yourself, “What would I say to my best friend in this moment?” Then say it to yourself. Guilt softens in kindness.
Adjust your self-talk. Calling yourself lazy or broken spikes more stress, and pushes you further into weight gain. When you speak with calm, your nervous system can finally exhale.
And listen. Rebuild trust with your body by tuning into it slowly. Notice how you feel when you sit to eat. When you pause between bites. When you rest instead of restrict.
This isn’t about control. It’s about creating a sense of safety again, inside and out.
No more harsh rules. No more judgement.
Let your healing start with softness. And let your weight loss follow from that.
If you’re ready to get off this loop and finally shift your mindset for lasting results, I filmed a free 15 min video where I explain the 3 essential steps I teach clients to rewire their mind for weight loss ease, not effort.
