Some of our supported people in Greater London enjoyed a festive day out at Winter Wonderland, and it was truly a magical experience. From the moment they entered the park, they were surrounded by twinkling lights, festive music, and the excitement of the Christmas season.

One of our supported people in the South West had an exciting adventure recently with a visit to Jurassic Falls. From the moment they arrived, they were captivated by the life-size dinosaurs, roaring sound effects, and jungle-themed surroundings that brought the prehistoric world to life.
This trip was a fantastic opportunity for them to enjoy time in the community, try something new, and have a fun-filled day supported by the team. It was a day full of curiosity, adventure, and positive memories.

Two of our supported people in the South Coast were excited to play a tune for their staff on their ukuleles. One of them has been practising regularly at the QE2 Day Centre, where he has been learning “I Have a Dream” by ABBA. He has also been learning to sign along to the song, showing great dedication to his music. Recently, he bought himself a pink ukulele after kindly giving his teal one to his housemate.

Both of them thoroughly enjoyed performing for the team, sharing their enthusiasm and hard work.

This year, staff were gifted advent calendars as part of our Christmas celebrations, and the gesture was met with great appreciation. One of our supported people in the South East had an incredible experience representing Great Britain at the Down Syndrome Europe Swimming Championship in Portugal. After months of dedicated training and preparation, she gave it his all in the pool, racing against some of the best swimmers from across Europe. Her hard work and determination paid off when she proudly walked away with the bronze medal.

This achievement is a true testament to her perseverance, focus, and passion for swimming. Beyond the medal, it was an opportunity for her to experience the thrill of international competition, meet new friends, and be inspired by athletes from around the world. Everyone at the service is incredibly proud of her and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
