Preparing well before surgery makes a meaningful difference to both your safety and your recovery. I’ve put together this 9-step checklist to help guide my patients through the essential things to have in place ahead of their procedure.

During your consultation, I will always talk you through these steps in detail and tailor the plan to your individual needs, ensuring you feel informed, supported, and confident going into surgery.

If you have any questions about preparation or would like to arrange a consultation, please feel free to get in touch via the link in my bio.

A unilateral ear correction for my patient bothered by prominent ear shape and a visible Darwin tubercle, an extra piece of cartilage on the outer rim of the ear.

This procedure involved pinning the ear closer to the head and removing the excess cartilage to achieve a smoother, more balanced contour.
Performed under local anaesthetic, with a hidden scar placed discreetly behind the ear for a natural, refined outcome.

Excess skin on the upper arms can be difficult to address with exercise alone. Full Brachioplasty with Liposuction offers a definitive solution by removing loose skin, refining arm contours, and restoring a smoother, more toned shape.

This procedure is particularly effective for patients following weight loss or those experiencing age-related skin laxity. During your consultation, Mr Manaf Khatib will assess your goals, examine the quality of your skin, and create a personalised surgical plan to achieve natural, balanced results.

If you’re considering an Arm Lift or would simply like to understand whether you’re a suitable candidate, my team is here to guide you through every step of the process.

An apron belly can cause discomfort, hygiene issues, back strain and emotional stress. If non-surgical measures have not resolved your concerns, surgical procedures like abdominoplasty or a pannus removal may offer a more permanent result. Understanding risks, recovery time and expected outcomes is key.

Seeing real progress is one of the most rewarding parts of brachioplasty.
My patient’s journey shows the process from pre-operative markings through to 6-month and 1-year follow-up, where the contour has settled and the scar has continued to heal beautifully.

A full brachioplasty with liposuction removes excess skin and fat to create a more defined upper arm, while keeping the incision along the inner arm for a more discreet scar.

If you’re considering an arm lift and want to know if it’s right for you, you can find more details on my website or book a consultation via the link in my bio.

✨ What do “perfect breasts” really look like?

The idea of perfection has evolved for centuries, from classical symmetry to 1950s curves to today’s preference for natural balance and proportion.
Yet, there is no universal ideal. Beauty is personal, shaped by confidence, comfort and harmony with one’s frame.

Discover how culture, science and self-perception influence the concept of “perfect breasts”, and what truly defines balance and beauty for each individual.

Choosing a surgeon is a big decision, and I believe patients deserve to know exactly what board certification means.

In the UK, plastic surgeons complete many years of advanced training and must pass the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast). I also hold European Board Certification (EBOPRAS), which recognises equivalent training and standards across Europe.

I’m also listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery, which formally confirms my qualifications and accreditation to practise as a consultant plastic surgeon in the UK.

For me, board certification isn’t just a title, it’s about maintaining the highest standards of safety, ethics and patient care.

6 weeks post-surgery: Breast Augmentation with Implants 💫

Lovely to see this patient just 6 weeks after her bilateral breast augmentation.
Her implants were placed in a Dual Plane position, partly under the muscle and partly under the breast tissue, to create a beautifully natural contour and upper pole shape.

She’s a nurse and was back at work one week later, following guidance to avoid heavy lifting and certain movements during early recovery. Her implants will continue to soften and drop slightly over the next few months for their final, natural appearance.

✨ The result: balanced, soft and proportionate enhancement that complements her frame.

💭 Can you guess what implant size she had?
