We develop, produce, distribute and sell innovative and trend driven products to beauty lovers all over the world and offer them a unique possibility to be part of the world of beauty.
Inspired by Nature
Since the start, nature has played an important part for us. We were among the first in the world to offer cosmetics with natural extracts such as birch sap, decades before most other companies and the concept of natural Swedish cosmetics has always served as our product base. Still today, 100% of our extracts are natural and all our ingredients undergo our Eco-Ethical Screening to ensure the best quality, safety and responsible sourcing.

Here are 5 of our many initiatives to lessen our impact on the planet and to bring about beautiful change.
Our EcoBeauty range
EcoBeauty was the first global cosmetics range certified by FairtradeÂŽ. But EcoBeauty does more than just care for your skin â it changes lives. In the farming communities where we source the coconut oil for EcoBeauty, the proceeds from sales provide training in biodiversity, organic farming and natural resource management, and empowering women.
Microbeads
Oriflame only use biodegradable, natural-origin beads in all of our exfoliating products. We want safe, clean water because it is good for your health and the environment.
Wellness Factory
Our Wellness factory in Rourkee, India has roof-mounted solar panels to use the sun to reduce power consumption. Thanks to its many clever design solutions that focus on saving energy and creating a healthy, environmentally friendly work place, it has earned LEEDÂŽ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification.
Childhood Foundation
Oriflame has committed to donate âŹ1 million to the World Childhood Foundation through sales of Tenderly Promise. We want to do all we can to help vulnerable children in need have happier, healthier and safer childhoods and brighter futures.
Recyclable Future
In 2016, 99% of our catalogue paper came from credibly certified forests. We stopped more than 96% of our manufacturing waste from going to landfills.

Our long-term goal is to become a fully sustainable company. This means living within the limits of our planet, respecting our environment and contributing to a fair society where everyone can prosper.
This is why, when formulating our products, we strive to use natural ingredients that are in line with our strong environmental policies and are not harmful to the environment. We were one of the first companies to use plant extracts in our skin care products, and weâve always tried to optimise the use of our ingredients from renewable plant sources.
Weâve made a lot of progress, and there's still more to go. We know that thereâs a long journey ahead of us and still much more still to be done. That is why, in 2014, we decided to implement our new sustainability strategy to define the three key areas that Oriflame continues to stay focused on and is dedicated to.
Our journey to sustainability will be a long one. But the nature and size of our business means we have the responsibility and opportunity to achieve real, lasting, positive change.
Swedish Science
With more than 50 years of experience, over 100 scientists and technical experts â covering many scientific disciplines including formulation science, skin research, clinical testing, process development, packaging technology, microbiology, toxicology, environmental science â and state of the art Research and Development facilities, we are constantly searching for better solutions and technologies in order to create more progressive, innovative products.

Since the start our charity work has always been important to us and we strongly believe that if we support the most vulnerable in our society we can help give them better opportunities to change their lives to the better. This firm commitment to support self-help is the guiding principle in our charity work.
To create the biggest impact, we have gathered all our community work under one umbrella â The Oriflame Foundation. We work with NGOâs and charity organisations that shares our aims and values and that have the experience to develop initiatives that enables real change. These include the World Childhood Foundation and SOS Childrensâs Villages.

Here we work with NGOs and charity organisations that not only have extensive experience of developing and running successful education-based initiatives but also support our aims and values. These include the World Childhood Foundation and SOS Childrensâs Villages, two global organisations we are proud to continuously work with.
Every child has a right to a childhood, to security, joy, playfulness and curiosity about life. Sadly, many children are devoid of these fundamental rights. The World Childhood Foundation, founded by HM Queen Silvia of Sweden and co-founded by Oriflame, helps the most marginalised children around the world. Through this inspiring foundation, we reach out to vulnerable street children, sexually abused children and children in institutions.
In order to continue supporting our great work with World Childhood Foundation and giving back to those children who need it most, we decided to launch our delightful new fragrance, Tenderly Promise Eau de Toilette, with a goal to raise over âŹ1 million in proceeds and donated to this special charity.

Our History
It all began in 1967 in a small two-room office in central Stockholm. The two brothers Jonas and Robert af Jochnick and their friend sat and talked about their dreams. They wanted to create a different kind of company offering a different kind of product. They had this idea about giving people an opportunity to benefit from high quality beauty products inspired by our Swedish nature. At the time this was not an obvious road to success, especially not in Sweden. But that conversation marked the beginning of an incredible journey that continues to surprise and amaze 50 years later.
Today Oriflame is present in over 60 markets with over 3 million independent beauty consultants that share, promote and sell our beauty and wellness products.
