Experience the natural beauty of Haringey while getting fit!

Our One You Haringey healthy lifestyle service have organised a 3km health walk through the beautiful green spaces of Lordship Rec and Downhills Park this June.

The walk is open to everyone, so no matter your pace or experience, we’d love for you to join us!

• Date and time: Saturday 7th June at 10am, for registration and warm up
• Location: Lordship Recreation Ground & Downhills Park
• Meeting Point: Rockstone Gate entrance, Lordship Lane, N17 6AB
• All fitness levels are welcome – bring your friends and family!

The walk will take around 45 minutes and finish at the Lordship Hub.

A free health event is taking place in Tottenham on Thursday 1st May for people from the Latin American Community.

We will be taking part, alongside community organisation Aymara.

Our Workplace Health Checks team visited the TFL Northumberland Park Depot to deliver health checks to their crew.

We've been delivering these life saving checks directly to workplaces across Haringey as part of a national, government backed pilot scheme.

Avel, one of the TFL workers we saw had this to say:

Our award-winning GP@The Grove service is expanding into HAGA’s alcohol recovery service from May 2025.

This means more patients receiving substance misuse help will now access direct support from a GP in a setting they know and trust.

For the past two years, we’ve worked closely with The Grove to deliver accessible, compassionate healthcare to those in recovery.

Expanding into HAGA is the next step in strengthening this patient-first approach.

By embedding GPs into recovery settings, we’re supporting patients with complex needs to engage in routine care - and giving professionals the tools to make a real impact.

Haringey employers can still offer NHS Health Checks to their employees in the workplace!

Workplaces in the borough have until the end of May 2025 to make the most of this great opportunity to get their staff checked on site by an NHS clinician.

It’s part of a government-funded national pilot which is bringing together local authorities with employers to deliver NHS Health Checks into workplaces across the country.

These checks are estimated to prevent around 300 premature deaths a year by helping to diagnose a range of health conditions.

We’ve already worked with 30+ organisations across Haringey to help deliver these health checks to more than 1,500 people.

Did you know that Black men face higher risk from prostate cancer than other men? In fact, 1 in 4 black men will develop prostate cancer, and those with family history are 2-3 times more at risk.

Because of this, we’re doing a free prostate cancer awareness talk at Chestnuts Community Centre, open to all.

We work alongside Islington GP Federation to provide new COVID-19 treatments directly to high risk patients.

Medicines are sent directly to people's homes, reducing the risk of deterioration and hospitalisation.

This important work supports eligible patients across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.

We’re proud to use cutting-edge medicine to reduce Covid-19 transmissions and hospitalisations in 2025.

This can be life changing for patients, while also taking some pressure off secondary care.
