Did you know that 57 million cases of type 2 diabetes could be prevented through better management of gum disease over the next 10 years?

Economist Impact, supported by Haleon, has developed the Health Inclusivity Index. This comprehensive global study aims to promote worldwide awareness of factors affecting health inclusivity, while revealing new evidence and insights around the barriers and benefits of taking a more inclusive approach to health.

Phase 3 of the Health Inclusivity Impact examines the health and economic impacts of improving health inclusivity by analysing the burden of common health conditions across underserved populations. One of the key insights gained from this research demonstrated that better management of gum disease could prevent 57 million people from developing type 2 diabetes over 10 years.
