“There Are Mum’s Way Worse Than You”
A Little Giggle for Every Parent
Parenting, as we know, is equal parts joy, chaos and the occasional existential crisis over whether your child’s refusal to eat vegetables is a reflection of your entire character.
But here’s the truth: even the most polished parents with their organic snacks, Montessori toys, and perfectly coordinated outfits have moments when things go completely awry.
That’s why I adore the book “There Are Mums Way Worse Than You”.
It’s a witty and reassuring reminder that, no matter how imperfect you feel, you’re still leaps and bounds ahead of certain members of the animal kingdom. (For instance, you’re definitely not a hamster, consuming its young as a mid-morning snack)
But let’s be honest: parenting challenges don’t discriminate. Whether you’re dealing with epic tantrums in your designer living room or wondering if the nanny has spotted your secret stash of “just-for-me biscuits or the Friday bottle of wine already opened on a Monday afternoon, the truth is this – you’re not alone.
Even the parents who seem to have it all together have, at some point, sought for help.
As a behaviour specialist, I’ve had the privilege of working with families who started off feeling overwhelmed and unsure but soon realised that seeking support wasn’t a sign of failure, it was a step towards thriving. The truth is, it’s ok to admit that you’re human.
So, enjoy the book, share a laugh, and remember
it’s perfectly fine to ask for help.
Parenting doesn’t come with a manual
but luckily, I’m here to guide you with proven strategies, a compassionate approach and maybe a bit of laughter along the way.
