Most adults with ADHD grow up thinking something is wrong with their motivation, discipline or character.
It’s none of those things.

ADHD isn’t about “paying attention.”

It’s about how your brain allocates attention, and the rules are completely different:

• You need interest or urgency to activate

• Tasks without emotional reward feel physically impossible

• Your brain jumps between tabs because dopamine regulation is unstable

• You can be brilliant one day and paralysed the next

• Planning, starting and finishing aren’t willpower problems — they’re neurological ones
The problem?

Most people with ADHD try to “fix” themselves using strategies designed for neurotypical brains… and then wonder why nothing sticks.

Inside the free 21-day ADHD Challenge, you’ll learn simple, proven ADHD-friendly tools that actually work with your brain’s wiring.

Ever tried calming an ADHD brain?

It’s like asking a browser with 47 tabs open, 3 playing music, and one frozen to “just relax.”

Sometimes it’s not distraction — it’s mental traffic.
And no, they can’t “just focus.” If only it worked that way.

For many women, it’s not about lack of willpower — it’s living in a brain that never quite hits pause.

You’re not lazy. You’re not broken.

You’re just running a high-speed brain in a slow-speed world.

Tag your fellow “47-tabs-open” girl friend — she’ll get it. 👯‍♀️

So… you read an article about ADHD and autism in women and suddenly go:
“Wait… this is literally me. Everything makes sense now.” 🙃

Here’s the tea:
ADHD and autism in women can look almost identical.

Women are pros at masking: you mimic, rehearse, perform “normal”… and leave completely drained.

Traits that scream both: hyperfocus on a weird obsession, sensory overload, emotional meltdowns, trouble organizing life.

Some lucky people have both (hello, AuDHD), some just one. But chasing a single ADHD diagnosis when you actually have traits of both?

You’ll be treating symptoms, not you.
So if your brain is like “wait, which is it?!” — a proper assessment by someone who knows both ADHD and autism is the only way forward.

So my patient asked ChatGPT what’s wrong with her… and apparently she’s dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, thyroid problems, burnout and maybe a dash of personality disorder 🤯

Sounds familiar? That’s the thing.

So many conditions share similar symptoms: brain fog, low motivation, impulsivity, exhaustion, trouble focusing… and suddenly you’re convinced you’ve got ALL of them.

But here’s the truth:
-ADHD-like symptoms don’t automatically mean ADHD.
- Sometimes it’s something else.
- Sometimes it’s ADHD plus something else.

And only a qualified specialist can actually tell the difference. 🙋‍♀️

That’s why an official assessment matters.

Everyone thinks ADHD = chaos.
Meanwhile, you’re sitting there with 12 planners, 3 calendar apps, and a nervous breakdown if one alarm doesn’t go off. 🙃

That’s not “being organised.”

That’s masking — aka working twice as hard so nobody notices your brain is tap dancing through traffic.

And yeah… it looks impressive, until you’re face-down on the couch wondering why “just existing” feels like a full-time job.

👉 Comment MASKING and I’ll send you the list of hidden ADHD signs no one talks about (yes, with sarcasm included).

👉 Or if you’re done wondering whether it’s “just you” or actually ADHD, get in touch. It might be time to stop guessing and start getting answers.

Because spoiler: colour-coded burnout is still burnout. 🤷‍♀️

ADHD working memory struggles can feel confusing:

“How can I remember details from years ago but not where I put my phone 5 minutes ago?”

The truth is, your brain prioritizes what feels emotionally important or urgent.

Neutral info (like a shopping list) often slips
through.

✨ One quick tip: Externalize your memory. Don’t rely on your brain to “just remember.” Use visual reminders, sticky notes, voice memos, or apps to offload what your brain can’t hold.

(I know it’s simple and nothing original but this is what works best for your brain!).

This is a real story of a woman who lived 35 years thinking she just had “anxiety.” Btw. It was confirmed by a psychiatrist…

Strict parenting, good grades, being “quiet” — all of it masked her ADHD.

Only after becoming a mum did it all fall apart.

The overwhelm, the disorganisation, the constant feeling of “why can’t I just get it together?”

Getting tested gave her answers. And within weeks, life felt lighter.

ADHD in women doesn’t always look “obvious.” But it’s real — and often missed.

Grades don’t tell the whole story — the hidden cost does.

If you’ve ever thought ‘but I did well in school, so it can’t be ADHD,’ this post is for you 💛

Some days, your brain is a creative genius—meal planning like a pro, remembering every school event, and coming up with a fun rainy-day activity on the spot.

Other days? You walk into a room and immediately forget why, reheat the same cup of tea three times, and overthink a text you sent three days ago.

The mental load is real, and if you’ve got a neurodivergent brain, it’s even louder.

One minute, you’re hyper-focused on reorganizing the entire kitchen at 11 PM, and the next, you’re staring at the washing pile, too overwhelmed to move.

If this sounds familiar, just know—your brain is doing its best, even on the messy days.

What’s one thing that helps when your mind feels like it won’t switch off?
