Earwax Removal for Patient with recent Ear Infection

This patient had recently been seen by his GP for an ear infection and was told his ear was fully occluded with was. He was then referred to us from a local pharmacy.

Using the WAXScope I was able to visualise the ears in 4k UHD, remove the earwax, restore hearing and confirm resolution of his infection.

PART 2 - Watch me remove this elderly patients earwax, this ear was extremely narrow making it extremely difficult to expand and visualise her ear canal. Using the size 1 paediatric speculum on her and some time and effort - we managed to fully extract all earwax and restore hearing.

This lady with a background of ear eczema and hearing aid use has a lot of dry skin and earwax causing her ear irritation 😣
