If your back isn’t feeling ready for that Christmas dress…

It’s probably because you’re doing your lat pulldowns wrong

Here’s how to fix it fast:

1️⃣ Go wider than you think. A slightly wider than shoulder width grip gets your lats doing the work, not your arms

2️⃣ Pull to your chest, not your neck. This keeps your shoulders safe and hits the muscles that create that sculpted shape

3️⃣ Slow it right down. Momentum steals results, control builds tone and strength

4️⃣ Squeeze at the bottom. That intentional contraction is what actually changes your upper body.

Ever wondered why you’re “doing everything”… but nothing is actually changing?

Because most women either approaching or already in their 40s are trapped in a pattern they don’t even realise they’re in

On one side, you’re going too hard, too fast

cutting everything, skipping meals, piling on workouts, hoping that throwing your whole life at “fixing it” will finally create change

But with no structure, no markers of progress, and no sustainable habits, all you’re doing is stressing your body and burning yourself out

On the other side, it’s being too comfortable

Doing a bit here and there, dipping in and out, expecting results without actually pushing enough to create them

And the thing is… if you’re not working smart and hard enough, nothing changes

Real progress sits in the middle:
✔️ Training with intention
✔️ Fuelling properly
✔️ Getting slightly uncomfortable
✔️ Tracking what matters

November was a brilliant month 🥰

Photoshoot prep in full swing
Client meet ups that truly filled my cup
The MNU conference - honestly so good!!
Training, structure, and routine leading the way
And some much needed time offline with Will to reset properly

It reminded me what this whole journey is really about… strength, health, community, growth, and actually having a life outside the gym and macros

And watching my clients move through this season has been incredible

Showing up despite life, hitting PBs, improving energy, losing inches, building confidence, and proving that you don’t need a “perfect time” to make progress!!

A new season is coming, and they’re stepping into it with momentum 🙌🏽

As I close out this chapter and roll into the month of celebration and family time, I’m grateful, excited, and very ready for the next phase…

but about preparing your body for the life you want?

Leisliane’s joined my programme while going through fertility treatment because she knew that with pregnancy she wanted to enter that season feeling strong, supported, and healthy

We focused on the process following clear guidelines and evidence for both safety with movement and nutrition

Monitoring energy, understanding her body and modifying everything throughout

Most people only know the version of me they see today

The grounded, happy, energetic, nurturing one

Very few would ever guess the life I was living in my 20s… or the dark corner of the music world I somehow slipped into

It’s a part of my past hardly anyone even knows exists, and a situation that almost completely broke me

What people don’t see is how close I came to losing myself

How many times I tried to leave

How long I stayed because I didn’t believe there was anything better waiting for me

And yet, even in the middle of all that, there was always this tiny itch inside me…

a quiet feeling that there had to be more for me than the life I was in

I didn’t know what “more” looked like

I just knew I couldn’t keep living in a world that was never meant for me

At 26, I did the scariest thing I’ve ever done

I walked away from EVERYTHING

No plan

No fu***ng idea

Just the decision to start again and hope that future me would be grateful I tried

And now at 41?

You could never have convinced that girl what her future would become

She wouldn’t have believed the strength she’d find, the healing she’d do, the community she’d build, or the woman she would grow into

My whole life changed because of one choice…

I trusted that tiny instinct telling me there was something more 🙏🏽

If you’re in the middle of your “before”…

I’m not fighting women… I’m fighting the noise around them.

And the truth is… a lot of that noise comes from inside the industry I grew up in

I came from the world of hourly PT

I’ve been on gym floors since the early 2000s

I’ve lived it, taught it, breathed it

There’s a massive difference between counting reps for an hour and actually coaching someone
