Alex Shiatsu Zen Shiatsu & Holistic Acupressure
Certified by Shiatsu College London, UK What is SHIATSU? Please, also wear clean socks.

With its origins in Taoism and traditional Chinese Medicine, SHIATSU is a gentle, non-invasive therapy aims at restoring the free flow of vital energy (Ki) within the body. SHIATSU supports the body’s innate ability
for self-regulation and vitality
Relying on a holistic view of the receiver, the practitioner applies
a two-hand pressure that is deep, stable and slowly moving along
the body to release emotional, mental, and physical blockages. This simple, non-doing and meditative healing touch is deeply
relaxing and helps to release muscles, loosen joins, restore
hormonal balance, calm the mind, and connect us with our inner
wisdom. People often describe SHIATSU as nurturing and profoundly therapeutic. SHIATSU is especially helpful with
• Neck, shoulder and back pain
• Headaches and migraine
• Depression, anxiety and stress related symptoms
• Sleeping disorders
• Digestive problems
• Reduced mobility and joint pain
• Menstrual problems, regulation of menstrual cycle
• Tiredness, lethargy, fatigue
• Asthma and breathing related problems
• Improving energy and well-being

What to expect? After a short and entirely confidential talk with the practitioner
which helps to define the objectives of the session, the SHIATSU treatment is typically done on a mat on the floor, with the receiver wearing loose, comfortable clothing. With its name derived from the Japanese term for "finger pressure", SHIATSU involves applying pressure to specific points on the body,
moving from one point to another in a rhythmic sequence. It also
includes gentle stretches and rotations. It is not rare that the
receiver falls into a soft sleep. Recommendations on life-style and diet may follow the treatment.

Shiatsu College London, July 2023
End of the year for all of us - Congratulations to all our students - Gratitude to our teachers, Annie, Claire and Jane, fabulous as ever !
See you next year, when I still will be an Assistant.

My Shiatsu family 🖤🤍

Last week was the final weekend of the 3 year Shiatsu diploma.

I began this journey with the Shiatsu College London in 2017.

This college is a super special place full of brilliant teachers holding a space for a deep development.

I feel very lucky to have taken a dive into this world and all its richness.

And to have met all of my wonderful classmates. 🫶🫶🫶🫶

This is the end of the 3 years, but not the end of the learning, just a new chapter in my journey. ✨️
