It's been a while since I first started attending the community choir 'to support' another person to participate (although, surprise-surprise, I have experienced as much support from my relationship with them over the years). And now all these years later, I find myself with my organisation, , to end social isolation of older men in Wandsworth through engagement in the creative arts, working with Sound Minds as interim leader of the community choir, also teaching guitar for them, receiving funding from for a pilot for a project work with older men to go out into their communities, exploring them through sound, and being supported by Sound Minds in holding my weekly shanty singing sessions. As well as being supported by through their Re:Create programme to develop As It Is Arts. Realising the value in just-keeping-going, one-foot-in-front-of-the-other, and also the deep debts of gratitude that I owe.

Recording sounds inside Western Riverside Waste Authority's recycling facility as part of the 24 hours of recording sounds on 10/12/25 in Wandsworth, both those sought and also those stumbled upon, to be workshopped in January to create the Sounds, familiar sounscape audio installation at the gallery February 3rd-20th.

PHENOMENAL evening at leading the community choir to a packed house of an enraptured audience who participated so wonderfully.
Lost count of the number of people who came up to me afterwards to say how much they had enjoyed it. The audience's beaming smiles and sparkling eyes said it all!
Huge gratitude to the team at RAD who could not have been more warm, welcoming or helpful.
Looking forward to the next time!
