Show of a Lifetime, in ,
🔹 A remarkable cultural experience during my time in China
🔹 Deep respect for the history, artistry, and hospitality I experienced in Hangzhou
🔹 A memorable day that strengthened my admiration for Chinese culture and future collaboration

Hangzhou is a city of deep history, culture, and refinement, and Songcheng gave me a very memorable way to feel that history come alive. From the moment I arrived, I could see why this place leaves such a strong impression on visitors. The level of preparation, discipline, and artistic excellence shown by the performers was outstanding. Every scene felt carefully designed, emotionally powerful, and full of cultural pride.

For me, this was not just a show. It was a serious demonstration of how China preserves history through performance, storytelling, and visual excellence. I was genuinely excited throughout the experience, and I left with even greater respect for Chinese culture.

One of the most touching parts of my visit was something very human. Many Chinese visitors warmly approached me for photographs, even though we did not speak the same language. I was very happy to do the same. Without speaking a word, there was still kindness, curiosity, and a sense of welcome. I will always remember that warmth as one of the most beautiful parts of my time in China.

My visit to the pure green tea factory was also excellent. It added another dimension to the day, because tea is such an important part of Hangzhou’s cultural identity. Altogether, this experience felt rich in history, hospitality, and mutual respect. As shown in the attached photographs, it was truly one of the most enjoyable and meaningful moments of my visit.

I sincerely admire China, its culture, and its people, and I hope to visit again for deeper academic, research, industrial, and cultural collaboration.

My Best Time in Shanghai & Respect to China

🔹 A memorable part of my research and development collaboration in China

🔹 From Changzhou to Shanghai, I experienced innovation, culture, and outstanding hospitality

🔹 Grateful for the warmth of my Chinese colleagues and excited for deeper future collaboration

As part of my research and development collaboration in China, I had the pleasure of spending one of my most enjoyable and memorable times in Shanghai. I travelled from Changzhou to Shanghai, and part of that journey included the remarkable Shanghai Maglev experience, where I saw the speed reach 301 km/h. Back in the UK, I used to organise events on MAGLEV, so it was genuinely special to see such a practical example operating in China.

What made the visit even more meaningful was the chance to explore Chinese culture and food more deeply. The duck restaurant was magnificent. Visiting the traditional NANXIANG Steamed Bun Restaurant, founded in 1900, was a real pleasure, and the steamed buns were unforgettable. I also visited Shanghai Tower and had the chance to experience snow beef, which felt both refined and innovative.

For me, this was more than a city visit. It reflected the strength of China’s hospitality, the richness of its culture, and the value of respectful international collaboration in research, innovation, and industry. I am sincerely grateful to my Chinese colleagues and friends for their generosity and kindness. As shown in the attached photographs, this was a time of learning, appreciation, and meaningful exchange that I will remember warmly.

I look forward to building deeper collaboration between the UK and China in research, innovation, industrial development, and knowledge exchange.

B2B Meetings and Feasibility Study for VIP in Re**er Trailers
🔹 15 mm for re**er trailer sandwich panels
🔹 Focused on refrigeration load minimisation
🔹 A practical step towards stronger cold-chain performance in Saudi Arabia
I am pleased to share a focused technical workstream between Sanyou London and Al-Shehili: B2B meetings and a feasibility study on integrating 15 mm thick Vacuum Insulation Panels into re**er trailer sandwich panels.

The goal was to explore how better insulation could help reduce refrigeration load and improve thermal performance in refrigerated transport. For me, this is the kind of practical engineering discussion that can lead to real industrial value, especially where cold-chain reliability, durability, and energy efficiency matter.

This was a meaningful step towards future collaboration in Saudi refrigerated transport and advanced insulation systems.

UK–Saudi B2B Meetings and MoU in Riyadh
🔹 Riyadh meetings focused on vacuum insulation for residential development
🔹 My digital twin AI LLM model helped me pitch clearly in Arabic
🔹 Samples, site visits, and a Saudi-focused case study made the discussion practical

During my UK–Saudi collaboration visit, I led a series of high-level B2B meetings in Riyadh that resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding between Sanyou London and Saudi Factory for Swift Construction (SFSC), focused on the future use of vacuum insulation in residential city development.

One important part of this work was using my digital twin AI LLM model to convert my English input into short Arabic pitches, helping me communicate directly and clearly during key discussions.

I arrived with a full presentation, physical samples of VIP, Decorative Integrated VIP, and Vacuum Insulated Wallpaper, printed catalogues, QR codes, and a short Arabic video comparing energy performance, installation methods, and potential energy savings. After each long day, I continued preparing additional Arabic videos from the hotel to answer technical questions raised by the industrial collaborators and keep the discussions moving.

Over three demanding days, I visited factory facilities, building sites, and active project locations, while also discussing installation, durability, long-term performance, and practical integration into existing construction systems. I also developed a Saudi-specific case study based on local tiles and concrete systems to keep the discussion realistic and buildable.

This was one of the most important parts of my visit. It strengthened trust and opened a serious pathway for future implementation.

What this video does not fully show is the intense journey behind it. Even in the interview, there is a quiet pressure in the video; I had no time even for a haircut, as that period was relentless. For a long time, I worked at least 16 hours a day to move the journey from idea, to research, to industrial R&D, to mass manufacturing, and finally to real products for the global market.

I am very pleased to share my official video interview with Corporate LiveWire , where Sanyou London was recognised as "Best Innovative Building Materials R&D Company of the Year 2025–2026".

For me, this award is not just a title. It reflects years of struggle, original thinking, persistence, and implementation. I have always believed that true research and innovation must go beyond papers and enter the real world. Publications matter, and I respect them deeply, but many still remain in journals, libraries, or databases. Real impact begins when knowledge becomes products, systems, and solutions that genuinely help industry and society. A paper is valuable, but it cannot install itself in a building.

I also love deeply. I have read hundreds of myself, and I truly respect the great theories written over many decades. But if students are paying for education, then it must be valuable, evidence-led, and connected to reality. It cannot rely only on old theory without showing present-day relevance. Students must clearly see the value of what they are learning.

This is why I believe the future must move beyond only towards and . Students should learn what industry, manufacturers, and organisations actually need. They should be trained to solve real problems, think critically, and deliver real results.

When I gave a visiting lecture in 2025, I raised the idea that PhD projects should be based on current industrial needs, where students must prove ideas in real-world applications rather than only through simulations or publications. I am glad to see that, by 2026, has already moved in this direction, towards practical solutions for real industrial problems. This is the spirit we now need much more strongly in .

At Sanyou London, our are , , built from years of research and industrial development. Through strong –China collaboration, we have continued to spread our work to the , , the , , , , , and , while continuing to explore countries that genuinely value practical solutions to real challenges.

This is the future I believe in. Research that lives beyond the paper. Education that gives students real value. Innovation that solves real problems.

My Father, My Lifelong Teacher: Retd. Prof Abdul Rashid Memon; May his soul rest in heaven. My Teacher and His legacy will live on forever. Rising from zero, he taught, inspired, and shaped thousands of leaders, including myself, with honesty, discipline, strength, dignity, bravery, and integrity.

He was a former Professor of Civil Engineering, Director of the Institute of Environmental Engineering & Management, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Head of Department, Chairman, Board Member, and Environmental Monitoring Specialist, having served across Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Ziauddin University, Newport’s Institute of Communications and Economics, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Sindh Irrigation & Drainage Authority. He graduated from Newcastle University, , and NED University.

Today, I write with eyes
that feel they have run out of tears.
This is the hardest post,
the hardest tribute,
the hardest set of words
I have ever had to carry.
He was not only a father to me,
but a light of learning,
a man of knowledge,
a man of books,
a man whose words carried weight,
and whose character carried truth.
I was only a child
when I sat in his class for fifteen minutes.
Just fifteen minutes.
Yet that was enough
to shape the direction of my life.
In that short moment,
I saw dignity, wisdom, and presence,
and I knew, without knowing how,
that academia would become my path.
All the CPD I gained later in life
felt secondary to that one lesson,
that one impression,
that one living example.
He called me a wise man.
He told me to guard
my deep thoughts carefully.
Even now, I hear those words
as if they were spoken yesterday.
He loved books.
He wrote daily diaries in English.
His vocabulary was powerful,
but deeper than words
was the depth of his mind.
Through his love of books,
he made me fall in love with reading,
with encyclopaedias,
and with the endless search for knowledge.
Even today, I remain like a child,
still hungry for books,
still hungry to read.
A great teacher never truly leaves.
He remains in the minds he shaped,
the lives he lifted,
the hearts he disciplined,
and the generations he inspired.
My father, my lifelong teacher,
your voice is still with me,
your lessons are still with me,
and by the mercy of God,
your legacy will remain
far beyond time.

I’m humbled, grateful, and quietly proud, because this award is not a title on a website, it is a timestamp in my life’s challenging journey from classroom teaching to industrial R&D to real mass manufacturing, where only counts when it is implemented. IN

I’m honoured to share that, as Founder and CEO of Sanyou London Pvt Ltd, I have won the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards 2025–2026 for Best Innovative Building Materials R&D Company of the Year.

What I believe, very simply, is this. The vacuum matters. The detail matters. The hard work matters. True dedication and perseverance matter. And the most uncomfortable truth of all is that if you keep doing the same thing over and over again, you do not get innovation, you get repetition dressed up as progress. Real research is the kind that survives manufacturing reality, site reality, compliance reality, and still performs.

At Sanyou London, we build vacuum-insulation energy technologies that are made to leave the paper and enter the world, from Vacuum Insulated Wallpaper (VIW) to Vacuum Insulated Heatable Curtains (VIHC), Decorative Vacuum Cladding (DVIP), and Flexible VIP solutions for construction, storage, transportation, AI data centres, yachts and boats, HVAC, and refrigeration.

If you want to see what I have built, do visit https://sanyoulondon.com/department-of-products-and-sales and www.sanyoulondon.com. If you want to work with a team that cares about evidence, manufacturing discipline, and outcomes, I would welcome the conversation.
