Goodbye 2025 and WELCOME 2026 🎉

Quick update from Tails on The Trails HQ! Group Walks this year!

Since starting our group walks back in June 2024 we have loved how our wonderful community has grown!

We’ve started from many different venues and the list just keeps growing so thank you to;

The Roebuck
The Chatsworth
The Red Lion
Wroxton House Hotel
The Horse and Jockey
Pinto Lounge
Phin and Paddle
Great Falkland Arms

It takes a lot of work to put these walks on, we research the route, test the route, advertise the walk, provide the puppacinos amongst many other things.

Recently there are some new group walks happening around the area which is amazing, we are true believers in Collaboration over Competition. 🫶🏻

We have taken the decision to reduce our group walk offerings to 1 a month. The reasons are obvious;

🐾we want to encourage people to get out and explore new routes and meet like minded people

🐾unless there’s some secret Time Machine nobody has told me about we can’t all go to every walk everywhere 😂

🐾we would love to come and join some of these other walks as ‘normal dog owners’ without the pressure of being the organisers 😬

🐾 we also need a better work/life balance, this is part of our attempt 😂😂

Coming up we have the following walks;

03.01.26 Horse and Jockey Bodicote 11am
11.01.26 Hare and Hound Wardington 1030am
01.02.26 Red Lion Long Compton 1030am

And of course we also have our first Dog Talk event evening on 13.01.26 (free tickets available for in person or online attendance) link in bio.

We want to advance book the dates for 1 venue a month for the rest of the year, so if you have a venue that you think would work DM us or let us know in the comments, let’s introduce more people to more dog friendly places and more locations.

Here is our festive wreath photo pop up from our group walk from Wroxton (I think I’ve got all of them here but there are a lot so let me know if your dog is missing, I’m currently working from my phone so it’s difficult to tell 😂😂)

Thinking this could be a regular thing for special occasions! May even do one for our horse and jockey walk in January and already have a great idea for an Easter one 😂

That’s it I’m now officially finished for Christmas!
A huge thank you to everyone who has left and given me gifts, I’m totally overwhelmed by the table full in my front room, I honestly don’t have the words.

Lovely turn out for today’s festive dog walk from I know it’s a busy time of year and appreciate you taking the time to join us. I’ll post some more footage from the day later but if you’ve got any pictures please tag us, email us etc etc. That’s the last walk for this year, the next one is booked for 3 January leaving from Horse & Jockey Bodicote as always advance booking is required to secure your spot, let’s start the year with a great walk (booking link in bio or comments) 🐾🐾

Tomorrow Event Postponed!!!!

It is with great sadness we are going to have to postpone tomorrow’s walk from the Red Lion in Long Compton due to the ‘never reliable’ British weather.

The forecast is for more heavy rain over night which we feel would make the walk less enjoyable for everyone, humans and dogs.

We will re arrange this walk for after the new year, and whilst it’s probably going to be inappropriate to wear festive outfits we may try and give the walk a theme to have a giggle anyway, if you have any suggestions for a theme then let us know!

In the meantime we strongly advise opening the mulled wine, scoffing a mince pie and cuddling up to your dog on the sofa to watch the Muppets Christmas Carol in the dry.

We are so sorry to have to postpone and will be in touch again when a new date has been fixed in the diary.🐾🐾🐾🐾
