🌿 RETREAT ACTIVITY SPOTLIGHT: FRITTON LAKE, SOMERLEYTON 🌿

We Step out of the noise… and into nature.

At Harmony House, one of our most powerful experiences is time spent at the beautiful Fritton Lake — a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what truly matters.

✨ Why it matters

Spending time in nature isn’t just calming — it’s scientifically proven to support your wellbeing:

• Boosts your immune system
• Helps regulate and reset your nervous system
• Improves mood, focus, and sleep

🔥❄️ The Science of the Nordic Cycle

We incorporate cold plunge + sauna therapy to deepen your reset:

• Cold plunge – reduces inflammation & boosts circulation
• Sauna heat – promotes detoxification & deep relaxation
• Repeat cycle – builds resilience and supports recovery

🧠 Our holistic approach to Recovery
At Harmony House, we combine:

• NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
• 12 Step principles
• CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
• Nature + science-based practices

This integrated approach supports healing of the mind, body, and spirit — helping you create lasting change, not just temporary relief.

💚 A powerful, natural reset for body and mind.

Today, we are delighted to welcome one of our new clients into Harmony House.

As part of our admissions process, each client receives our white welcome folder, which contains our 12-Step programme alongside a wide range of educational materials designed to support recovery.

We also provide a Big Book of AA, a “Just for Today” card, a welcome card, and a fully furnished, clean room with a key.

Most importantly, we offer what we believe is the main prescription of all — hope for a miracle and the opportunity for change.

Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens through strong partnerships.
Today the Harmony House team from the Adam Outreach Project had the privilege of visiting Abbington House. 🏡

Abbington House is a 15-20 bed, fully established private residential detox and rehabilitation service, supporting individuals at a crucial stage of their recovery journey.🤝

Their work in stabilising and supporting people through pre-detox and post- detox is vital, and we are grateful to collaborate with them to ensure continuity of care as individuals move into longer-term recovery support if needed.

It was especially encouraging to see one of our service users from our secondary move-on facility now working at Abbington House as a support worker while training to become a counsellor—a powerful reminder of what recovery can lead to when the right support and structure are in place.

Investing in people is where it truly matters, and both our organisations share the same heart and vision in the work we do.

Below are members of our Harmony House senior management team, Ricky and Louise, alongside the leadership team at Abbington House:

Greg Georghiou – Founder / CEO
Michael Williams – Treatment Manager
Tony Rapacioli – Chief Operating Officer
Michael Garnham – Admissions Director

Thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome and for the incredible work you do. Partnerships like this truly make a difference.

A Mother’s Practical Guide to Supporting Family Members with Addiction

Addiction doesn’t just affect one person — it affects the whole family. And often, mothers carry the deepest worry, responsibility, and heartbreak.
One of the hardest lessons is learning the difference between helping and enabling.

Helping supports recovery:• Encouraging treatment• Supporting healthy choices• Offering emotional support• Setting healthy boundaries

Enabling protects the addiction:• Giving money that funds substance use• Covering up problems• Making excuses• Rescuing them from consequences again and again

Sometimes intervention is necessary. Not to punish, but to say:“We love you, and things need to change.”

And sometimes the hardest step is learning when to let go — allowing consequences to happen because you cannot force someone into recovery.

Love them. Support recovery. But protect your own wellbeing too.🤝❤️

Please watch this clip from a mother who knows this journey first-hand. Her story speaks for so many families walking this road.

Recovery is possible — for them, and for the whole family. ❤️

We give thanks to God for all that has been achieved so far through Adam Outreach Project, and for the journey still ahead.

✨ A Moment of Gratitude & Celebration at Harmony House ✨

Today we celebrate another graduation as Tony leaves Harmony House. Six weeks ago he arrived desperate and struggling with addiction; today he leaves a completely different man. His hard work, courage, and commitment to recovery have been inspiring, and we are so proud of him.

As we close the retreat for a few days — doors locked, lights off, rooms cleaned — we reflect on an incredible year of growth, dedication, and lives changed through the work of our amazing team.

Our remaining clients have returned home briefly, and we hold them in our prayers and support as they navigate these early stages of recovery, especially during this challenging season.

Harmony House stands in solidarity with all those on the recovery journey and looks forward with hope and anticipation to 2026.

From all of us at Harmony House, we wish you a Happy Christmas and a joyous New Year 🎄✨

✨ From Darkness to Light – Brooke’s Story of Recovery ✨

This powerful video was created by Brooke Taylor, a former client who has come in leaps and bounds from the depths of ketamine addiction into a life of hope, purpose, and freedom. 👏💥💥

Brooke bravely shares her journey through addiction, including the severe bladder damage caused directly by ketamine abuse, and how recovery has transformed her life. Today, she stands as a role model and ambassador for change, showing other young men and women – and anyone struggling – that recovery is possible.💪🎯

After travelling through Harmony House, Brooke successfully integrated, graduated, and is now approaching over two and a half months clean and sober. She’s back at work, enjoying the fruits of life, and looking forward to Christmas with a renewed sense of joy and gratitude.

🌱 This is exactly why Harmony House exists today. 🙏❤️

We provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where people can regain their mental health and recover from addiction one day at a time.

Harmony House is a cost-effective retreat focused on dignity, healing, and sustainable, long term recovery.

📞 If you or someone you love would like to talk, our professional and compassionate team would be happy to answer your questions:

📞Telephone: 07494 835 249

🙏 Please take the time to watch Brooke’s video all the way through – it is truly inspiring and a powerful reminder that no matter how dark things feel, you can always walk back into the light of recovery.

Like and share her story with someone who could benefit from hearing Brooke’s story. 👍❤️

Harmony House Client Activity – 💪At Harmony House, we take a different approach from traditional rehab models. Rather than keeping recovery confined indoors, we believe in gently reintegrating our clients back into real life—into community, nature, and the simple experiences that spark natural joy and healthy dopamine. Many who come to us have spent years in isolation, loneliness, and disconnection due to addiction.

That’s why part of our programme focuses on rebuilding confidence and rediscovering the world around us.Recently, we treated our clients to a wellbeing away-day at Fritton Lake, where they experienced a floating sauna session followed by a refreshing lake-dip swim—what we call the Nordic Cycle. The physical and mental health benefits of hot–cold therapy are incredible, and our clients absolutely loved it.

It was an uplifting day filled with courage, laughter, achievement, and gratitude.Harmony House continues to be a safe, nurturing addiction-recovery retreat on the beautiful Suffolk coast. If you know someone who needs support after completing detox, our team would be honoured to help them take their next steps. Please get in touch anytime.📞
