♡ The delicate art of preserving balance ♡
Something I have learnt over the years and particularly through the experience of living with chronic autoimmune illness and pain in my early 30s & now as I continue to navigate motherhood, business and family life is the delicate art of balance.
Recognising that when demands on me are higher, whether that be workload, motherhood load, illness &/ or fatigue & general life load 🤯 my need for slower living, quieter moments, connection with nature, heart centred ways of being and connection with my body through the form of mindful practice, self reiki & nourishing rest are all required to help me not only preserve my energy but also support my internal landscape…my mental and emotional state.
I see these restorative practices as daily maintenance, things that help sustain me & preserve that all important state of being. And when demands on me increase, these become a priority to help keep the balance.
It’s like a daily ‘soup’ practice, and we can all live in this mindful soup every day. Each day needs different ingredients. Sometimes we need more rest and relaxation, sometimes we need more mindful movement, and sometimes we need to simply be still and watch the world go by….knowing that all these ingredients offer an opportunity to return back to centre.
