I just wanted to share a recommendation for anyone looking for unique and beautiful music for meditation, relaxation or therapy.

The most wonderful instrumental albums created by Nigel Shaw at Seventh Wave Music have been the soundtrack for my reflexology journey over the past 8 years, from my very first training sessions to my present day treatments.

I have many of Nigel's albums, including the 4 featured here - inspired by the sounds of nature, ancient forests and the Dartmoor landscape. So evocative, soothing, stirring and emotionally transformative; I have found nothing comparable on popular streaming platforms.

How much easier is it to face life’s challenges and to feel re-energised after a good night’s sleep?

Friday 13 March 2026 is World Sleep Day and the theme is “Sleep well, live better”. It’s a day for promoting and raising awareness of the importance of sleep health.

For adults who regularly get 7-9 hours of quality sleep, benefits can include increased energy levels, improved memory and decision making, immune system support, better physical health and the ability to manage stress more effectively.

It follows that a lack of sleep over a long period can impact our mood and concentration, reduce energy levels and decrease immune function.

One of the benefits of reflexology is that it has been shown to make a difference to the sleep process.

Responses to reflexology are individual and it should not be seen as an alternative to seeking medical advice. But if you are looking for a supportive therapy to help improve your sleep pattern, you may wish to consider giving it a try.

I am now offering my clients the option to book a 75 minute session which includes a 70 minute reflexology treatment, an extra 15 minutes longer than my standard full follow-on treatment.

This may be something you wish to consider, either for additional treatment support or simply because you would enjoy some extended relaxation time.

The extended treatment costs just £10 more than a standard full follow-on treatment and is available to everyone after attending an initial treatment including consultation.

Please don't be put off if you have been unable to find an available reflexology appointment at a suitable time in March. My online booking system has all available dates/times for April and May and there are plenty of options to choose from.

I do still have a few appointments left in March (mostly Saturdays).

Once booked online, appointments can be managed directly by you - Just in case circumstances change and you do need to transfer your appointment to another date.

When I first opened the door to the small private room inside Gilmorton Village Hall it was a eureka moment! I wanted to set up a local treatment room, with easily accessible facilities for everyone, privacy and the right environment for a relaxing therapy. And here it was ☺️

My treatment clinic has been running at the village hall for a little over a year now and I am still receiving complements from both my regular clients, as they walk in and immediately start to relax, and also new clients who love the warm, welcoming cosiness of the room.

I set the room up with soft lighting, the gentle aroma of relaxing essential oils and calming natural soundtracks. The Lafuma chair 'hugs' my clients as they recline and the soft blanket provides optional extra comfort.

The perfect setting to enjoy an indulgent and restorative reflexology treatment.

Treatments are available on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
