๐ First day of school ๐
The first day of school isnโt just a milestone for our little ones โ it's one for us mummy's too.
As we watch them walk through the school doors, their little lunch boxes in hand our hearts ache with pride and a touch of sadness.
Life feels very different now. The house is quieter. The days stretch in a way they never have before.
Wishing we could slow time down, relive every cuddle, every bedtime story, every first word and wobbly stepโฆ just one more time.
The slow mornings on the living room floor building jigsaws, colouring Peppa pig are now limited.
So many days we wished for just a few hours โ to tidy the house, catch up on work or simply enjoy a moment of peace and quiet. Yet now, as the silence settles in, we realise those busy mornings we once took for granted were actually some of the best days of our lives. ๐๐
This moment is more than a drop-off. Itโs the start of a new chapter โ for them and for us. We now need to learn how to let go, to trust, to cheer from the sidelines. Weโre learning how to transition into a life where our children donโt need us by their side every hour of the day.
And in that space, we now need to find ourselves again. To remember the woman behind the word 'Mummy' - to grow, just as they are growing.
Itโs so very bittersweet โ a closing of one chapter and the beautiful, brave beginning of another.
Mummy's we are in this together ๐
