Looking forward to sharing this workshop at .wellbeing on Friday 😊

Join me at 6.30pm for an hour of gentle yoga and guided meditation, a relaxing and grounding way to begin the weekend 😌🙏

This month, we’ll explore a practice known as Calm Abiding meditation. This practice, rooted in the Buddhist tradition, invites us to bring our attention to an object (for example our breath), and simply keep returning to this object throughout the practice.

As the name suggests, Calm Abiding meditation can help to settle and calm the mind by giving us a gentle focus and the mind a job to do - which is especially helpful when our mind feels busy.

As we focus on this object in a relaxed way, we can observe the fluctuations of the mind without getting too involved or too distracted.

This can be a helpful tool if you are new to meditation and also a supportive regular practice, especially when things feel a bit full on and/or unsettled.

Here’s all the details for my Monday evening class at Detling Village Hall for anyone looking to join a new yoga class or return back to yoga after a break 😊

The class is open to everyone, whether you’re new to yoga or have been practising a while.

The style is slow, mindful and invites you to move and flow with your breath. We begin with simple movements sequencing towards strengthening standing postures, balances and poses, closing with a guided relaxation.

Each week we have a different theme, exploring some of the foundational principles of yoga that support our body, energy and mind.

Excited to share that Flowstone Wellbeing Studio are running an early bird promotion on workshops in February 🙂. If you book on to my Moving into Meditation workshop before 15th February it’s only £8.

This monthly workshop brings together gentle yoga and guided meditation. We’ll practise yoga poses to prepare body and mind for seated meditation practice, before exploring meditation techniques to help to settle and observe the mind and our inner experience. Join me for this relaxing and grounding start to the weekend 😌

Join me for a gentle yoga class, exploring yoga poses and movements that help to improve mobility and strength. The class is relaxing for mind, bringing in mindfulness and breathing practices too.

This is open to everyone, whether you’re completely new to yoga or have more experience. As well as practising together, there’s time at the beginning to chat and connect with others in this friendly class 😊

Moving into Meditation workshop is back at Flowstone Wellbeing Studio this Friday !

Join me for an evening of relaxing yoga and guided meditation. This month, we’ll practise a Loving Kindness meditation. Loving Kindness (also know as Metta Meditation) is a beautiful practice that invites us to connect to our heart and wish the very best for ourselves and those around us (from loved ones to strangers and anyone in between)

Practising this meditation can transform how we relate to ourselves and others, helping to develop our positive qualities such as compassion and kindness.

Last night marked six years of teaching yoga at Detling Village Hall!

This was the first class I set up while I was studying and completing my yoga teaching training (I remember how nervous I was for that first class, and how kind and encouraging everyone was!)

Since then I’ve had the pleasure of teaching so many lovely students here (some who have been there since day one!). We continued through covid times, navigating online teaching and practising via zoom, until we were able to come back to the village hall. It’s been so lovely to see our yoga community grow and see friendships formed throughout this time too.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has come along and supported me over the years - teaching you has taught me so much 🙏❤️

This Friday evening, I’m looking forward to teaching my next Moving into Meditation workshop at Flowstone Wellbeing Studio

Looking forward to sharing my next Moving into Meditation workshop at Flowstone Wellbeing Studio this Friday 🙏

This relaxing evening session will begin with a gentle yoga practice, before finding a supported seat for meditation.

During the meditation practice, I’ll share guidance and also leave moments of quiet for you to sit with your experience. The meditation style draws from the Buddhist tradition, exploring elements of mindfulness, insight and loving kindness.

This workshop is beginner-friendly and open to anyone curious about meditation 🙂

On Friday 21st June, I’ll be sharing my next Moving into Meditation workshop at Flowstone Wellbeing Studio 😊

This workshop weaves together gentle yoga asana practice with guided meditation. This month, we’ll continue to explore and experience some of the foundational teachings and tools from Buddhist meditation practice.

This workshop is open to everyone - whether you are completely new to yoga and meditation or have been practising a while.

These Friday night sessions have been a lovely opportunity to slow down, pause and transition into the weekend mindfully 😌
