The Glutes.. aka the bum muscles, the peach ๐
Some therapists donโt massage the glutes and stop at the hips. When I spoke at the college previously some of the students were scared to massage this area! and some people have watched my videos and been put off because theyโve seen the bum being massaged, but itโs such an important area to massage
๐ The glutes provide movement, stability and power.. so they need massage just as much as any of the other muscles, if not more
โ๐ผA lot of peopleโs pain problems originate from the hips, which are supported hugely by the glutes. If the hips or glutes are off, it can have effects going up to the neck or down to the feet. Itโs important to remember that where youโre feeling pain, isnโt usually where itโs originating from
๐คฒ๐ผ Not only does massaging the glutes make the treatment feel much nicer and flowy than stopping at the hips, itโs also very important for relieving pain and improving posture
Especially for people who:
โจ Sit at a desk all day
โจ Drive a lot
โจ Kneel down often
โจ Train lower body
Releasing the glutes has huge benefits that you will feel in that area and throughout the body
And you donโt need to be underwear free, like in the video, I always give the option to the client, underwear on or off, whatever feels most comfortable for you
