❗️Feedback Friday❗️

Today we are sharing some feedback that isn't as positive.
"Do not see the same doctor at each appointment”.

We would like to reassure everyone that all of our patients have a usual doctor on their record , but all doctors and clinicians in the practice are able to access the records for patients in our care.

When you call to book a routine appointment you will always be offered a choice of clinician and if at all possible this will be actioned for you . Often the patients personal timeline will affect who we can offer appointments with, i.e. a patient who can never attend on a Friday cannot be offered an appointment with our female locum , who only ever attends on a Friday.

On days where a more urgent appointment is needed, it will be offered to you either with a remote clinician in the first instance or with the duty doctor. The duty days are shared out amongst the doctors and there is only ever one duty doctor on per day, for the on day / urgent matters.

You will be given the option to wait for a preferred clinician , this is of course your prerogative, but in cases where it is an urgent matter you will need to accept an appointment with a doctor who may not be your usual one. Rest assured we always strive to ensure the care you receive is excellent , whomever you see or talk to.

If you want to impart information to a clinician who has been treating you or an ongoing matter please do submit an online consult and direct to the doctor you wish to see it. These are reviewed and then next steps advised to you within three working days.

‼️Recent news ‼️

It is with great sadness to inform our patients, that Dr Clegg is moving onto pastures new in January. We will miss him terribly. If anyone has any well wishes for Dr Clegg, please do leave a note with reception.

Dr Clegg:

" It is with great sadness that I note, I will be moving onto different pastures in the new year as myself and family have chosen to emigrate to reset our chance to spend time as a family.

Working here has been a truly meaningful part of my life and without doubt, the best place I have ever practiced medicine. I see the staff and patients here as family and leaving the NHS won’t be tricky but leaving you all will be.

It’s been slightly chaotic and over-caffeinated at times, but I wouldn’t have had it another way
Right now, I need to hold back the sadness and put my family at the forefront of my decision, but it has been the hardest decision of my life.

The team here will be growing to accommodate this decision and things are already in place. I will let the surgery update you in due course.

Otherwise, I wish you a fond future and never stop being the Cradley that you are.

Best wishes
Dr Peter Clegg "

place for you. Call, go online or use the NHS App.

• Get to the help you need. If you need urgent medical help but you're not sure where to go, use 111 to get assessed

🎤Here at Cradley Surgery, we don't just share all the good feedback. Sometimes it's also good to share the bad so we can improve. Recent feedback: " I didn’t receive a telephone call as booked."
As this is anonymous, we cannot contact this patient directly to correct this. But what we can do is learn from this so it doesn't happen again and collect all relevant contact information at the start of the call. Please keep us as up to date as possible with your contact information to help us prevent this.
