Last week we held an event to launch the WHM short film, ‘One of Us’ at The Yard in Cheetham Hill.

It was an incredibly heart warming evening as we also recognised some of the individuals and groups whose tireless efforts make a real difference to lives across North Manchester.

The awards were designed by our WHM Fieldworkers and were awarded to the following:

- One of Us Award: Kathy Morrison (Morrisso Health)
- Be Brave Award: The Missionary Brothers of Charity
- Building Trust Award: Kaz & Regina at The Blackley Hub
- Next Generation Award: Our Saviours Community Action Group
- Working Together Award: Gemma and Julie from the Neighbourhood Team at Jigsaw Housing
- The Joan Toomey Award: Joe Hartley

On Thursday 13th March, the North Manchester Business Network’s Annual Celebration Event was held, alongside representatives from local businesses, communities and the public sector in attendance.

The event heard from guest speakers Angela Harrington from Manchester City Council, and Caroline Roberts from Melland High School & Steve Leech from Northridge High School, before recognising some key partners for awards.

Winning Hearts and Minds were awarded the Outstanding Contribution of the Year Award, in recognition of their work across North Manchester to connect businesses, organisations, communities and individuals to grow initiatives to improve health and wellbeing. ✨

The North Manchester Business Network hosts regular meetings to bring together businesses and communities to collaborate on projects to have a positive impact to North Manchester.

Winning Hearts and Minds continues to be a key partner, providing crucial connection to North Manchester communities.

Celebrate the strength, health, and unity of women of all ages at our International Women’s Day event! 🌟

🗓 Date: 11th March 2025 🕓 Time: 16:00 - 19:00 📍 Location: FC United, Lightbowne Road, Moston

We have a fantastic lineup of activities planned:

⚽ Football 🎾 Tennis 🏋️‍♀️ Gym Sessions 💃 Dance

And that’s not all! The Point of Care Testing team will be on-site to provide free health checks for women over 40.

Plus, there will be engaging discussions on women’s health and the lifelong benefits of exercise.

🎉 Refreshments will be provided. 🍎🍰
