❓❔Did You Know ❔❓
When you come to George Ball & Son, you will be looked after by the same person from the first meeting to right through until the day of the funeral and beyond.

Unlike some of the large, national organisation who have an “arranger” and then on the day of the funeral you are met by a “conductor” - someone you have never met or even spoken to.

FAQ's 🙋

We are regularly asked "How do I know the cremated remains are those of just my loved one?"

Cremation chambers are designed for individual use only. Each cremation is carried out separately. Once the process is complete, the ashes are carefully collected and placed in a container that is clearly labelled with the deceased’s name and unique identification number and a certificate of cremation is issued and kept with the ashes. The chamber is then cleaned thoroughly, prior to the next cremation, to ensure that the ashes you receive are solely those of your loved one.

Our CEO, Andrew Judd, will be appearing on Morning Live tomorrow (12th), discussing funeral costs and why value matters when saying goodbye.

Funerals matter because:
• We only get one chance to say goodbye.
• Saying goodbye helps us face tomorrow.
• Funerals bring families and communities together when it matters most.

As consumer expectations evolve, funeral directors continue to adapt - offering choice, transparency and high standards of care at every price point.

During the programme, Andrew is expected to highlight the importance of:
• Looking for the NAFD logo to ensure high standards of care.
• Understanding the differences between traditional, attended and unattended funerals — and what is included in the price.
• Having open conversations about wishes, which can ease both emotional and financial pressure.

Time: 9.30am–10.45am
Currently broadcasting on BBC Two due to Winter Olympics coverage.
