"Why do I feel guilty about my sexuality?”

Some people grow up hearing messages that their identity is wrong.

Those messages can stay with people long after they realise they aren’t true.

Feeling guilt doesn’t mean identity is wrong.

It often means someone absorbed messages that weren’t meant for them."

Trans & Non-Binary Support Group – Neurodiversity

Many people in the LGBTQIA+ community also identify as **neurodivergent**. Experiences such as ADHD, autism or other forms of neurodiversity can shape how people experience identity, relationships and mental health.

Navigating the world while holding both trans or non-binary identities and neurodivergence can sometimes bring unique challenges — including misunderstanding, stigma or difficulty finding spaces that truly understand those experiences.

That’s why spaces created **by and for the community** matter.

Be/Here is hosting a Trans & Non-Binary Support Group focused on Neurodiversity — a relaxed online space to connect, share experiences, and explore mental health in a supportive environment.

These sessions are designed to create safe, engaging spaces where people can connect and learn from each other.

Community conversations like this can help reduce isolation, strengthen belonging and support wellbeing.

Join the session or learn more here:
https://www.beheremcr.co.uk/event-details/trans-and-non-binary-support-group-neurodiversity

This chat session is designed to provide a safe environment for trans and nonbinary individuals to explore their experiences and views on neurodiversity. Participants are encouraged to share insights, challenges, and support related to being neurodivergent in relation to their gender identities.

đź’™ Trans Day of Visibility

Today we celebrate trans and non-binary people — your strength, your courage, your creativity, and your right to exist exactly as you are.

We also recognise the mental health challenges many trans people face. These challenges don’t come from being trans — they come from discrimination, isolation, and barriers to support.

Community changes that.

When people are surrounded by acceptance, safety, and affirming care, well-being improves. Visibility becomes more than being seen — it becomes belonging.

To every trans person reading this:
You deserve safety.
You deserve support.
You deserve to thrive.

You belong here. đź’›

"World Bipolar Day

Today is **World Bipolar Day**, a day to increase understanding of bipolar disorder and challenge the stigma that people living with mental health conditions can face.

Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition that can involve shifts in mood, energy and activity levels. People may experience periods of elevated mood as well as periods of low mood or depression.

Like many mental health conditions, experiences of bipolar disorder can vary greatly from person to person.

Stigma and misunderstanding can sometimes make it harder for people to talk openly about their experiences or seek support. Creating communities where mental health conversations are welcomed can help reduce isolation and increase understanding.

At Be/Here, we believe mental health support should be compassionate, informed and accessible. Community spaces can provide opportunities for people to share experiences, learn from one another and feel less alone.

Good therapy isn’t about having all the answers.

It’s about how you feel in the space.

Safe.
Heard.
Not judged.
Able to be fully yourself.

If you’ve never experienced that before —
It’s not because it doesn’t exist.

It just means you haven’t found the right space yet.

đź’› You deserve therapy that actually feels like support.

Perfection is a moving target.
And it’s exhausting trying to chase it.

You’re allowed to be a work in progress.
You’re allowed to get things wrong.
You’re allowed to show up as you are today.

That version of you is enough.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

You don’t need a perfect plan.
You don’t need to be constantly motivated.

You just need one small step.

Then another.

Progress doesn’t always look impressive —
But it still counts.

Not everything has to be big to matter.

Sometimes it’s just:
• stepping outside
• taking a breath
• noticing something small
• slowing down for a moment

These things don’t fix everything.
But they can soften things.

And sometimes, that’s enough for today.
