📣 Calling all local schools
Kimberley’s Law is campaigning for vital law reform to introduce a Duty to Rescue in the UK.
As part of this campaign, we strongly believe that children of all ages should be taught first aid and the different ways to call for help in an emergency.
Members of the Kimberley’s Law campaign are reaching out to their local schools, and as a parent with children attending a local school, I wanted to share this information as a matter of urgency.
We are working with MPs across the UK and are in communication with the Department for Education about the current level of first aid taught in schools.
First aid should be taught in more detail and more often.
When Kimberley’s Law (Duty to Rescue) is passed by Parliament, calling for help in an emergency will become a legal requirement — education is key to making this law effective and ensuring everyone knows how to get help.
