Today is a big day for me. The details of which I might share in the future.

Anticipation, nervousness and fear come along with excitement, optimism and hope.

On days like today, running is a good way for me to process thoughts and feelings and to physically feel myself moving forwards and “closer” to a goal.

This doesn’t need to be running. When my low back pain is flaring up, I walk. You could also cycle, swim or even do some stretching.

It’s amazing how the physical body “moving” can help you to feel more calm and focussed on your task.

Change your narrative. Tell yourself “I get to exercise” and see how your brain reacts.

Your body is supposed to support your life, to help you eat, breathe, move and love.

Can you believe me made it through 2021???

This year we have exercised online, in small groups, in big groups.

In the rain, in the freezing cold, in the sunshine and the wind.

We have laughed, we have smiled, we have made new friends.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us in 2021. It really does mean the 🌍

Ya girl’s had a very sociable time of late. I used to feel guilty about eating and drinking “too much” and Mondays would be about under eating and/or over exercising.

Here’s a photo of me in dancing on Saturday, on my boyfriends shoulders and having the best time.

When you’re 70 or 80 you are not going to care about how many calories you burnt or if you were “ripped”…. You are going to look back on memories.

So this is your reminder of the festive period (and beyond) to make memories, not diet plans or crazy exercise routines. Have fun!

We are hyped to be bringing you this New Years Workshop: “Your stress response & how to regulate it”.

The eagle eyed amongst you will remember that we hosted two stress workshops with .yoga in Sept 2019 and Jan 2020.

We have now joined forces with and can’t wait to see you on 16th January 2022 at .

The afternoon will help you gain an insight into your relationship with stress and how to regulate your stress-response through mindset, movement & rest.

As we move towards the festive period.. we are going to see SOOOO MUCH content around , and intake and “burning”.

In an attempt to counteract this, we are going to share some important, evidence based, benefits of movement and exercise.

We are starting with NEUROGENESIS 🧠

When we exercise, our brain produces a chemical called Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor ( ). This chemical is important in the regeneration of brain cells, also known as .

This is important for the prevention of a number of conditions, including dementia and mental health illnesses.

This is a big driver for me to exercise, as I have a very strong family history of Alzheimer’s Dementia. The evidence is accumulating and soon I hope we will see more fitness professionals talking about the effect of exercise on OUR BRAIN.
