Utter perfection.
So peaceful this morning.
That's the magnificent Puke Hill in the mist on Marsden Moor in the background. I've been running here for over four years and it's perfect every time. The peat is soft at the moment, not boggy. No wind, the mist, gentle rain, lack of traffic [as everyone is hungover from yesterday] made it so perfectly quiet.
Reminded me of the magic of running in lockdown when the traffic stopped and we regained nature for a short while. A time I could hear a hidden stream miles away. Today I could hear people talking 2km away. Stopped to chat with a lady walking her dog, Christine, who I often meet at the same point. We must have the same habits.
Pure magic.
No idea how long I was out as not wearing a watch and my phone was switched off [well I do know as I've run here many times] but for me that was a short/medium taken very steady and easy.
The four week old ski injury [when some tw*at deliberately knocked me off my skis] seems to be sorting itself nicely.
I feel amazing right now with very little input. I've said this before but it's the biggest output I know for very little input [apart from the initial getting fit which takes six weeks].
