Before a Renthal handlebar ever sees a mill or fixture, it has to earn its place. In our UK factory, every tube begins its life in raw form, then enters a stretching process that defines everything our bars stand for: strength, consistency, and absolute control. We stretch each length of tubing with precision to refine its grain structure, increase uniformity, and remove any inconsistencies that could compromise performance. It’s a controlled, deliberate transformation that sets the foundation for our proprietary wall profiles and unmatched flex characteristics. Once stretched, the tubing goes through a rigorous inspection phase. We check straightness, diameter, surface finish, and material integrity with tolerances far tighter than industry standards. If a tube doesn’t meet our criteria, it never makes it to the next stage. No exceptions. This is where a Renthal handlebar truly begins, long before bends, knurling, or anodizing. Crafted through discipline, verified by inspection, and built to perform at the very edge of what a rider can demand.

Once each sprocket is CNC-cut to exact spec, it enters a vibratory tumbler loaded with abrasive ceramic media. Hours of controlled vibration work every surface—smoothing sharp edges, removing machining burrs, knocking down stress risers, and evening out the grain structure across the entire profile.

This isn’t just about appearance. A properly rumbled sprocket meshes cleaner with the chain, reduces noise, and minimizes premature wear. By eliminating microscopic flaws, we prevent cracks before they start and create a more consistent, more durable tooth profile that stands up to factory-level torque and abuse. Jeffrey Herlings closes out an era built on raw speed, unforgiving work, and a partnership that reshaped modern motocross. From a fearless 15-year-old to the winningest rider in KTM Factory Racing’s history, he turned potential into dominance, stacking MX2 and MXGP championships and rewriting the record books with 112 Grand Prix victories.

Through injuries, comebacks, and the kind of racing that tests every bolt on a bike, Herlings showed what real grit looks like. A chapter ends, but the respect runs deep.
