I've let myself go the last few months, lots of physical activity but not exercise/ gym sessions as such. It's been a bit of a trial to see what can be maintained and if the lay-off allows for any return to the gym gains. Lots to share with anybody who finds getting in shape and keeping in shape hard.
The good news is I'm not disappointed, a bit fluffy here and there - but there's the challenge I can work on - bring it on

The others are understandably more private (I was too, and if it wasn' for promoting my work, I still would be) - but it's important to know I really appreciate you showing up week in week out, putting in the work and being open to discovering yourselves🙏

Your system thinks you're in a tribe that's just concerned about obtaining food and water.
Modern day, dictates that you process and take on the troubles of the world - from your town, to issues the opposite side of the globe. Day in day out.

Instead of switching on your phone, the radio and your TV every morning, setting the negativity before you've even considered your own responsibilities - take a moment, get your bearings, let your system boot up and then ease into YOUR day.

There's lots of ways you can exercise, and I've tried most of them.

High Intensity Training worked great for my conditioning at a time when I needed short sessions. My situation and conscience just wouldn't allow anything else.

I've found that this type of training needs phasing with less intense periods to avoid burnout.

Every body, every mind and every life is unique.

You don't need to be the best at something for it to be effective. But you need to have courage and it definitely helps ...

I'm 44 and been lucky to have been training consistently, without major injury for the best part of 30 years.

Maybe it's not luck though....

I train for health, functionality and to look athletic in a considered way.

Unlike some people on here that are 'go hard or go home' machines - I'm a human being with varied work days, stresses, time limitations, fluctuating energy levels and other things to contend with.

If I neglect to consider any of those, then that just leads to unbalance. This just impacts body and mind anyway. I'd never prioritise training over other things that are as important in my life - I make it fit.

This will look different for everybody, nobody has a copy of your life, mind and body.

It's an ongoing process which you're the master of.
But it helps to have somebody that's walking the path a little further ahead to give you the map.
