Sound therapy can be an unexpectedly valuable tool for your body & mind and many guests find it offers them moments of deep rest with benefits that continue after sessions finish.

And of course, people want to know: "How many times should I go?"

This post offers some points to consider.

Keep in mind a few other thoughts:
Your experience will be different at every session because your physical& mental states are not static. Pi**ed off at your boss? You're going to be distracted and irritated. Digestive issues? You may be more tense (but sound bath can help with that too!).

You'll also have different experiences with every practitioner you visit. Not every sound bath is therapeutic. Not everyone is trained on the clinical perspective. Some sessions can feel and sound more like a journey or performance, others you may find yourself in an altered state of consciousness. Each has their purpose.

There’s something really special about slowing down for a few hours: stepping away from the noise, the rushing, the doing and giving yourself space to simply be.

I’m so excited to be co-hosting this beautiful Spring Mini Retreat on Sunday 26 April at Lyddington Village Hall, a 5-hour experience designed to help you gently reset, reconnect, and feel like yourself again.

This isn’t just a yoga session. It’s a full, nourishing pause for your body and mind.

We’ll begin softly, easing in with tea, breathwork, and a grounding meditation, before moving into a slow flow to stillness yoga practice, blending gentle movement with longer, restorative holds.

From there, the day opens up into something a little different:
• A creative tea ritual & art session (no experience needed, just curiosity)
• A somatic clay workshop to ground, release, and set intentions
• A shared vegetarian lunch, please bring a small vegetarian dish to share (something simple is absolutely perfect)
• And a deeply calming sound bath to close, helping everything settle and integrate

This day is perfect if you’ve been feeling tired, overstimulated, or just in need of a proper reset.

No pressure or expectations. Just space to breathe, soften, and reconnect. Everything is guided gently, and all levels are welcome.

This is a unique evening of its kind… a space for you to express yourself to the sounds & vibrations of singing bowls & gongs. Paint🖌️

Local abstract artist Kayleigh Smith Creative will provide guidance and offer ideas before we begin on our art & sound journey. You’ll paint what you feel or see or whatever else pops into your mind (or lie down and close your eyes).

Happy April!
I’m currently enjoying 28° weather in the States, a little unexcited to return to the chilly English weather 😩
In the meantime, a reminder that men are gifted one free session this month at different locations. They can attend alone or come with a partner (please book separately if doing so.)

My intention is so show it’s not “girly” or over the top and simply a resource to switch off and rest.
