Pay £7.83 per hour (minimum)
Hours – 36 hours per week (nights)

What the role involves:

• You will pay attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties.
• You will complete accurate daily records and observe care plan needs for resident with vigilance and full understanding.
• You will promote residents’ independence and wellbeing, involving them in daily activities alongside a high-quality standard of care.
• You will be prepared to take part in mandatory training and maintain your professional knowledge.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Relevant formal qualifications such as an NVQ Level 1 or 2 in healthcare, although this may not be essential as training may be provided.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team within a busy care home environment.
• To be flexible, enthusiastic and should be able to demonstrate experience and competence in a relevant role. Experience within a care home setting would be desirable.
• Be willing to apply for a DBS.

You must have extensive care home management experience; and a nursing qualification is preferred. Job Role
• To take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home including management of the staff team as the Registered Manager.
• To promote and ensure a caring environment for Service Users through high standards of quality and professional practice, which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of Service Users.
• To ensure that each Service User receives care appropriate to their individual needs which
should be well documented for all to easily interpret.
• To manage and ensure compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010, and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 and any previous applicable legislation. To also work with any guidance received by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and any other official stakeholder bodies.

• To act as a role model for other care staff in respect of day to day activities with particular emphasis on attaining National Vocational Qualification in Health and Social Care.

• To assist qualified staff in the on-going assessment of residents, reporting any changes to the person in charge.
