For years, I thought something was wrong with my body.
I believed things about my period, my pain, my hormones—because no one told me otherwise.

And I believed these lies:

🚩 Lie #1: Painful periods are normal.
Truth: They are common, but they are not normal. Pain is a sign of imbalance. It’s your body trying to get your attention.

🚩 Lie #2: If you have to wear a tampon + pad at the same time, that’s just your “flow.”
Truth: Needing to double up constantly, or bleeding through in minutes, is a sign of heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia)—and you don’t have to live like that.

🚩 Lie #3: Doctors have all the answers.
Truth: My doctors didn’t dismiss me—but they also didn’t offer options. It was painkillers or birth control. No conversation about why my body was acting this way.

🚩 Lie #4: Heavy bleeding is just genetics.
Truth: Your hormones, diet, and lifestyle all play a role in your cycle. When I went vegan, my symptoms completely changed—even though that diet wasn’t a long-term fit for me, it showed me how much my body responded to what I put in it.

🚩 Lie #5: If nothing has worked so far, nothing ever will.
Truth: Healing is always possible. The body is designed to be adaptable. You just need the right support.

It took me years to unlearn these lies.
Years of frustration. Years of feeling like my body was against me.

But once I started working with my body instead of against it, everything changed.

If you’ve been told “this is just how your body works” and something inside you knows that’s not true—trust yourself.

Your body is trying to tell you something.

When I first started learning about herbal medicine, I made one crucial mistake:

I approached it like a doctor with a prescription pad.

One symptom.
One cure.
One herb.

That’s how I thought healing worked. That’s how we’re taught to think about health.
But that’s not how our bodies work.

So at first, I searched for the one herb that would “fix” me.
The magic bullet. The cure.

And I was frustrated when things didn’t change overnight.
When my body still felt out of sync.

Until it finally clicked:

Your body and vital energy are the primary forces of healing. Herbs don’t fix you—they support you.

My body wasn’t broken.
It wasn’t failing me.
It was trying to repair itself.

I just had to give it the right tools.

That’s when I stuck to my herbal tinctures every single day—twice a day.
That’s when I prioritised movement, food, and spiritual rituals as a form of medicine.
That’s when everything started coming together.

Healing isn’t a straight line. It’s not a quick fix. It’s a process of supporting your body instead of fighting it.

If you’re stuck in the cycle of “nothing is working,” I get it. I’ve been there. And I can tell you—it’s not about finding the perfect solution.

It’s about understanding your body in a way you never have before.
