mr. Pigenowski had a crash with a car, broke his leg and wing and fall right under the bridge. It’s been a month of recovery. To be honest I wasn’t giving him much chances to fly or even survive. He got water and food and unlike the duck was left alone most of the time as he was becoming hysterical as soon as he would see a human. Most of the time he was lying on his side as it was the right wing and right leg that was broken. I had doubts if I did well to save him to put him through such long suffering not knowing if he will ever fly and thrive. The feeling of guilt kept me away from this bird. I wish I took at least one photo to show how bad he looked like after the crash. He’s name should be mr. Omlet.
But he lived, and wanted to live and continued to get better. The only question was if he was ever able to fly again after such bad injuries.
