Doreen Alice Cousins of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Monday 13th April 2026 at Musgrove Park Hospital, aged 73 years, surrounded by her loving family. A beloved Wife, Mum, Nan, Sister, Auntie, Great Auntie and Great Great Auntie. Doreen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A funeral service will take place in memory of Doreen on Wednesday 6th May 2026 at 12 noon at Taunton Deane Crematorium. Donations in Doreen’s memory are being sent to St Margaret’s Hospice and can be donated at the service or online at www.funeralguide.co.uk/143362. The family are welcoming flowers, which can be sent to the Funeral Directors or brought to the service.

Recently, we had the honour of conducting a truly special farewell for the much loved John Rennie of Cothelstone, Bishops Lydeard.

John was known for his passion of aviation with years as an aircraft engineer. To also reflect his deep love of horses, he was taken on his final journey by a beautiful team of 4 black horses, pulling a beautiful black carriage.

It was a heartfelt, personal send-off filled with love, respect and unforgettable moments, a fitting farewell to someone who will always be remembered.

Ivor Dennis Jones of Porlock, peacefully passed away on Sunday 29th March 2026 at his home aged 83 years, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved partner of Ros. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, never to be forgotten and forever in our hearts.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will take place in memory of Ivor on Friday 24th April 2026 at 11am at St Dubricious Church, Porlock. Sally-Ann Eaves of Minehead, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Friday 13th March 2026 aged 44 years at her home in Minehead. A loving Mum to Shannon. She will be deeply missed by all her loving family and friends. Sally-Ann was known for her warmth and kindness, always having time for a chat with anyone and greeting everyone with a smile. She showed incredible strength and courage throughout her cancer treatment, facing it with positivity and a smile that never faded.

Mervyn John May of Minehead, peacefully passed away on Wednesday 18th March 2026 at Musgrove Park Hospital aged 86 years, surrounded by his loving family. Much-loved Husband of the late Hilary May, Dad of Chris, Helen and Steve. As well as ‘Pops’ to Gracie, Hannah, Jodie and Jessie. Merv was known to many in Minehead and the wider county of Somerset, participating in many sports through the years, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will take place in memory of Merv on Thursday 9th April 2026 at 2pm at St Michael The Archangel Church Alcombe. Robert Smyth (Benji) of Bridgwater, passed away peacefully on Monday 23rd March 2026 at Musgrove Park Hospital, aged 65, surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A funeral service will take place in memory of Robert on Monday 27th April 2026 at 12 noon at St Francis of Assisi Church, Bridgwater, followed by burial at Quantock Road Cemetery. The family welcome flowers, which can be sent to the Funeral Directors or brought to the service.

Robert’s final journey will be by horse and carriage through Bridgwater. The cortege will pause at The Foresters, St John Street — a place of special significance to him, where respects may be paid.
