Going through some old posts and had to share this again. My favorite Equine Touch casestudy from my training days. Biased as she's mine but still going strong doing a few pleasure rides pole work clinics not the big stuff we used to but we are still going and enjoying life. Bone spavin navicular disease (as in holes through the navicular and pedal bones) oh and a wee bit of kissing spines according to x rays. Anyway we keep working on that fascia with our magic Healing Hands For Horses. Equine Touch and Natural Bodywork. Alongside having a natural approach to horse care and here we are a much happier less stressed Jess and me. πŸ˜†

Going through my case study photos from when I was training. Always going to be my favourite because she's mine. But one of my best results and looking back to a time when life was different for us then. Before and after shots of 3 sessions of ET. The pictures speak for themselves. Since then life has led us on some journey. Change of saddle change of lifestyle, barefoot and almost grass free. I now have a happy calm horse which I don't stress about riding now. I just thought I had a spooky nutty TB. Turns out she was crying out for help. Maybe the world needs to look at a "New Normal" for horses too. A happier healthier horse and rider and in the long run I've even found I'm saving money. It's not something new either just need to start keeping our horses more as nature intended as best we can.

πŸ‡An Update Regarding Veterinary ConsentπŸ‡

Guidance from the RCVS in regards to veterinary consent. Please read the following:

β€œMusculoskeletal maintenance care for a healthy animal, for instance massage, does not require delegation by a veterinary surgeon. However, the animal must still be registered with a veterinary surgeon. Maintenance should cease and the owner of the animal should be asked to take their animal to a veterinary surgeon for clinical examination at the first sign that there may be any underlying injury, disease or pathology. Alternatively, the musculoskeletal therapist may ask the client for formal consent to disclose any concerns to the veterinary surgeon that has their animal under their care.”

🐴Therefore, I will not be asking for veterinary consent before your treatment. I do however ask that you are still registered with a Veterinary Surgeon. For new clients I will send an acknowledgment e mail to your vet before my first visit to ensure they have no concerns regarding the health of your horse and are happy for me to carry out Equine Touch on them. And of course if your horse is ill or has underlying health issues you should always seek veterinary advice first. 🐴

Kind Regards

Rachael.

What I do is gentle non invasive body work that works on the connective tissues muscles ligaments tendons and fascia to bring about natural changes and realignment within the body. It also works at an emotional level often resulting in deep relaxation for the horse and allowing the autonomic nervous system to repair and renew.

If you think your horse could benefit from Equine Touch or you would like to know more about what I do please contact me. Always happy to take time to talk about my No 1 passion. Wishing your horse good health and happiness. ❀️

Lovely day at Carlisle today doing equine Touch sessions. These guys are all regulars and seeing the benefits that Equine Touch has on their horses.🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
Great results especially Ellie who is a 23 year old ex racer. Lots of visable fascial tension across the shoulder greatly reduced in just 1 session. 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴
Tomorrow off up to Ayrshire and another busy day ahead. Love the variety of horses I'm getting to see. Driving ponies, showjumpers, endurance horses and ex racers all with their own specific issues and needs. Doesn't matter what your breed is or disciple Equine Touch can help structurally and emotionally.
