Despite being only 35, I’ve had a breadth of life experience. Sometimes we have to hit rock bottom to find the strength to swim back to the top. I’ve worked with children and young people for many years and have run my own business for over five, delivering grief work and creative therapies in schools and community settings. Every environment has deepened my respect for the incredible resilience young people show, often in the face of enormous pressure. Growing up in today’s society is far from easy—peer pressure, friendship challenges, and the academic demands placed on them can feel overwhelming, particularly for those who are neurodivergent. Yet time and again, I see their courage, creativity, and capacity to recover shine through, reminding me why this work matters so deeply.
