As Woodside now finds itself in the folds of 'Twixmas' week, it has time to enjoy some much-needed downtime after the excitement of the time leading up to Christmas and Boxing Day..
These days, before new years eve, offer a chance to relax and recharge whilst enjoying good food and drink.
Twixmas also provides an opportunity to reminisce about Christmas television and entertainment shows.

During this reminiscence session, Woodside watched singing performances from Tony Bennett and The Rat Pack.

Wonderful entertainment from some exceptionally talented men!

Part 2 of Christmas Day at Woodside 🎁

Everyone deserves a gift at Christmas, and thanks to the generous support of our local community, many wonderful presents were shared today.

As you can see in every photo, there were happy smiles all around. Everyone was truly appreciative of the thoughtful gifts they received.

Woodside would like to take this opportunity to say a BIG thank you to everyone who so kindly donated Christmas gifts and helped make the day so special.

Polite Notice

As many of you will be aware, there has been a rise in colds and flu within the local community.

Local Health boards have now introduced compulsory mask wearing in hospitals.

At this present time, to help contain the spread of any viral infections, ALL outside visitors will be kindly offered a mask on entry to the home.

These masks must be worn for the duration of your visit to help protect residents and staff and to prevent the spread of illness within the home.

Visitors are requested not to enter the home if they have any cold or flu symptoms or are generally feeling unwell.

This decision will be reviewed at a later date.

Woodside thoroughly enjoyed its annual Christmas party!

The chef produced a delicious buffet accompanied by a wonderful selection of drinks.

The Lodgers Ukulele Band played a range of good-time songs that had everyone singing along and dancing.
The room was filled with clapping hands and tapping toes—it was electric!

At 3pm, the sound of a loud bell rang through the foyer as Father Christmas arrived to visit.
He sat by the window and asked whether the ladies and gents had been on his naughty or nice list—only one admitted to being naughty!

Santa handed out gifts to everyone, and he was met with many big thank-yous.
After he left, Christmas carols were played so that everyone could continue singing along together.

It was another very successful Christmas party!

Woodside would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to The Lodgers for their wonderful entertainment, to Santa for taking the time to visit Woodside and to families and friends.
Not forgetting all the staff for their dedicated and hard work that make events like this a great success.
