🤯🤦 Bad things happen when I have a bath and relax 🤦🤯!

May 2025, I will be completing my first Hyrox competition. 8 x 1km runs and all of the fun of pic 2 in between!

If you see me in the gym over the next 9 weeks, looking like I might die, or have just gone mad...this will be why!

Each year I like a challenge...last year was to become as strong as I was in my 20s, and this year will be a balance of strength and pushing my cardio fitness to the max; all with the support of my amazing trainer .

I don't know what will happen but I know the work has started and I am already seeing positive changes in my HRV, let's do this 🤔🤣!

Need more energy?

Works smarter... not harder!

If your mitochondria (energy cells) are diminishing and/or not firing as they should, all your body will want to do is save energy... meaning not do a lot and remember our brain is designed to be lazy so it will happily oblige!

If your feeling stressed, weak or just generally lacking, start by addressing the things that can make you feel better quickly!

Are you:

👉 Eating enough kcals? If we aren't giving our body enough, it will fight harder to hold on to what it has and mean we aren't getting the energy we need to function, let alone function well!

👉 Eating the right foods? Are you you getting enough protein, vitamins, fibre and minerals? Maybe you are even giving it anti nutrients that block energy - think sugar, white, refined starches, processed foods etc that all spike your blood sugar, zap your energy and put you on that rollercoaster?

👉 No matter how well we eat in the modern world, we can't get everything we need today sadly from the food we eat but be choiceful here and seek advice from an expert.

👉 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate - in Winter our body doesn't get the natural thirst cues that it does in Summer so we often have to push ourselves a bit harder to drink up!

👉 Training too hard? Too often and too hard, not only will impact your mitochondria but also increase cortisol, our stress hormones, making it harder to lose fat and even gain around our middle!

Tackle these one by one so as not to overwhelm perhaps even one a week and you will find that not only does your energy improve but that lots of other benefits start happening too 😘.

Embrace the journey of becoming stronger every day 💪!

Here are 5 simple and effective healthy habits to elevate your wellbeing - remember small changes done with consistency, become daily habits and get great results 😉:

Morning rituals: Kickstart your day with mindfulness, 5 mins of focused breathing or a quick workout to set a positive tone.

Hydration heroes: Stay hydrated for optimum performance. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water daily but many of us need more and remember, in Winter, our body won't give us the cues, like in Summer, when hot so if it means setting reminders on your phone or getting a time bottle to begin with, then do it.

Balanced bites: Fuel your body with nutrient-rich foods, incorporating a mix of fruits, veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains. Be sure to include a probiotic food or two daily if you can too.

Move & groove: Incorporate regular physical activity, whether it's a brisk walk, yoga, running up and down the stairs or a workout routine. Find what you enjoy and remember, your body was made to move!

Quality sleep: Prioritise 7-9 hours of sleep nightly for better recovery and enhanced mental clarity. Try to keep the timings similar, our bodies love routine!

Remember, progress is progress, no matter how small. 🌟

Stay true to yourself, break free from societal norms, and let your unique light shine🌟.

Don't succumb to the pressure of resolutions (and remember it's great if they work for you but for many they equal pressure or lead to feelings of failure);
➡️ celebrate the journey of self-discovery instead.

Christmas is a strange affair,
A time that we are made aware,
Of people that we all do wish,
Could share our many Christmas dish.

Christmas is a time of love,
Of those on Earth and those above,
Spent together or apart,
Time of peace, of giving heart.

All we have but not embellish,
While others live in greater need,
