In a ceremony a few days ago, I asked - "Why is there war?" and received an answer like a whisper through the winds, "It's because you have forgotten to connect with the Earth, to lay down on her, belly to belly, and to kiss her."
This might seem too idealistic, absurd or illogical, but it's more than just the literal battles that we see in the world. It also means the wars within us, our personal struggles, the deep pain we carry, and our unprocessed trauma, often hidden behind our identities, masks, fears, and belief systems.
We've forgotten our roots, disconnected from our Mother Earth.
We've forgotten we are one big family. One tribe. All related.
Just imagine what might happen if we let our walls down, allowed intimacy with Earth โ touching her, feeling her, loving her. This connection could lead to a deeper understanding of ourselves and each other and to put down our weapons of self-destruction.
We are Earth creatures, every war we wage assaults on her. Every life taken is a crack in our collective soul. An echo that will resonate for millenia into our hearts.
But what we desperately seek is love, a love that is beneath our feet, in the deepest corners of our heart.
In our hardest moments, instead of leaning into conflict, we can remember our connection, our intimate bond with Mother Earth. In this practice, we could all find love and healing.
Let's dare to remember and reconnect. Every act to connect, to love, might be the spark our world needs.
What if the day comes and we find that the wars โ within us, against our Mother Earth โ are just distant memories? For Love prevails.
thank you pachamama with all my heart
